i would tell her that you would rather go elsewhere because you don't want her to miss anything ie: getting ready, watching you get ready, helping out with extra last minute stuff..just make her feel more important then doing your hair

i have the same problem. at my sisters wedding my mom was doing her hair and she got so nervous that i had to finish it. i told her i want her to be pampered with me so i talked her into getting her hair and make-up done also.

i have the same thoughts, my MOH is a hairdresser, she wants to do my trials and do my hair the day of, it's not that i don't want her to, i just want her to enjoy the day, and yes she can be very critical, if you come to a conclusion let me know!!!! good luck!!!
