FH and I went over our budget's again last night...we will be okay if everything goes as planned. But it's soooooooooo overwhelming...I hate paying for all of this!!! It's so stressful and it just stinks!

Sooooooooo I have to have absolutely NO LIFE for the next 7 months in order to be able to pay for this wedding, so we dont get in over our heads

same here!!! no life and its only gonna get worse for us as we book more...

I know I'm just so nervous we are not going to be able to do it...if something goes wrong we are screwed. I am working like a lunatic and so is he. I need to find another part-time job...not like my full time job and my two part time jobs aren't enough! I want another night at a bar....cash money is the key!

I'm in the exact same situation and it's sooo stressfull! FH and I are working insane hours but it takes a toll. I'm so tired and cranky lol Not the happy bride I want to be!

Not to mention the holidays coming up

FH and i did the same thing last night...he walked around for a good half hour holding his chest, complaining of heart palpitations lol

i've been staring that the budget for the past 11 months, so it doesn't really phase me anymore. i keep telling him, we still have an entire year to save...we just need to do a better job of ACTUALLY saving (like NOT buying a $200 hockey stick FH ::cough cough::)

You're not alone. My FI and I are paying for the entire wedding and it's so overwhelming. When I started planning I thought my mom would cover my wedding gown (only normal to think this because she paid 5k for my sister's gown), nope not happening and my dress is under 1k. I guess she thinks since I already live with him and have kids that she doesn't need to provide me with anything for the wedding. So now adding the gown to my budget puts me in a negative and now I have to work a second job to balance everything out...:

I was SOOO nervous we were going to be left with no $ after the wedding. I over budgeted for everything! If we contracted a photographer for 4k I planned to budget for one that cost 5k instead.

Try to over-estimate things ahead of time so that within the last few months you have some 'extra' $ in case something comes up.

FYI, for those of you who don't live with each other realize that your going to have to purchase furniture as well.

I HEAR YA girl!!! Its scary! I feel more confident about the spending than FH does.... he is like freaking! I told him not to worry, we will be OKAY.

So far the only vendor that we went way over budget was the DJ, and thats because I had to have uplighting which is $1K alone!

everything else so far has been okay!

but yea, saving every penny sux - and what sux more is that some people just dont get it!

I try to tell everyone that this xmas and next xmas, the gifts will be very small! I just cant do it

I wont even be doing xmas this year we just really cannot afford it. I'm only going to spend maybe $50 on each kid and that's even pushing it. I don't even think I can even do xmas cards...which I feel like I kind of have to...ugh! It sucks girls cause we should be enjoying this and it's so stressful I'm not really

We did the uplighting too and it's so much $$ and FLOWERS...ugh! FH said do we really need centerpieces...but now that I have a whole theme going I want them. We may have to cut it out of the budget...so disappointed. The candleopera's may have to do...ggrrr

DEF over budget as a pp said. Towards the end all the little things add up but you make it work. You are not alone girls. We went through the same thing. You would be surprised on what you can save on actually and what you can DIY so you don't have to break the bank.
GL and TRY not to stress so much! I know how hard it is but TRY.

Thing is we didn't over budget and we are just making it. I do have $$$ saved but I'm so trying not to touch that. But we may have to which stinks that was going to be part of the downpayment for a house one day...ugh! Just want to cry!

It does stinks. My FH is still in stock cause my mom and I are really close. It really hurts but what can I do..like FH said, at the end it will turn out for the best.
