Torn between vendors
I've been lucky so far choosing vendors because we've generally liked everyone we met with first pretty much but I'm torn about florists. We met with 4 this week and narrowed it to two that we liked. We have friends who used one of them and actually FH's brother and FSIL are using them in July which we didn't realize. The other was recommended on here and came in a bit lower than the first (nothing substantial enough to choose on price alone) and we did like who we met with.I don't think we can make a wrong choice, but when you've been torn between vendors how have you chosen? Neither made us a sample so we have not seen any of their work first hand to judge value/size/fullness of the flowers. Not sure why I'm afraid to pull the trigger on this one...

Torn between vendors
I went through the same thing while looking for a florist because flowers are so important to me. I read advice on here about wedding dresses that said 'if you can't decide between 2 then keep looking. if you compare all of the new ones to one of the 2 then that's your dress. or maybe you'll find one you love even more than the 2' and I applied that to booking a florist. I visited one that I fell in love with even more than the others & that's the one I booked. probably won't work for everyone but it worked for us.Also it might help if you let us know which 2 you're torn between. A lot of ladies here have experience with florists & can tell you pros/cons of each

Re: Torn between vendors
Two of the florists that I liked showed me actual pictures of the work they did. The last vendor I visited just kept showing me pictures of google images, and they're a big name vendor, so I was a little surprised. And the person that I met with at the last vendor wasn't the person that was going to design the flowers.Since the other two were pretty comparable, in terms of price, I went with the vendor whose appointment went the best, and who I felt most comfortable with.
Like the previous poster, if you let us know who you've narrowed it down to, you'll probably get some good feedback from here that might help you make your decision.

Torn between vendors
Make a pro/con list. I went with the vendor that was more expensive, but included a lot more and we felt really cared about us as a couple.

Burtons and wicks. Both gave us roughly the same things for around $75 difference. Wicks throws in a sweetheart table arrangement included in their package which burtons doesn't. I only know people who have used burtons though so I'm hesitant.

We only met with Burtons and Wicks and we went with Wick's. We were so happy with their quote and we have used them previously for other events. They are great!

Torn between vendors
I was not thrilled with the consultant I met with this weekend at Burton's so they are off my list even with a low price but I also met with Bella Flowers in Huntington and LOVED meeting with them. Maybe try a few more florists?

I didn't have a good experience at Burton's. They were very short with us & gave us a quote on the back of a business card. They never even asked us what kind of flowers we wanted which I didn't like. I never met with wicks so I can't give my input there except that I've only heard good things.
