tornado?????????

i just saw the footage! WOW

I live in Massapequa and let me tell you, everything looks totally fine right now - my brother came home from work and I was telling hi mabout this afterfnoon and he laughed and said 'there was a flood?' cause the streets are dry.

But at noon I was leaving my classroom and on my way home and I had to pull over. The car was actaully swimming in water up to the mid-door and the hail was phenomenal. With brights and hazards on you couldn't see a d-arn thing ahead of you. It was the scariest thing of my life. It took me 30 minutes to travel 1 mile because you couldn't see. Lots of tree branches and stuff down and power out in some areas. It lasted for maybe an hour in total - I couldn't park on m ystreet when i finally made it home cause it was too flooded --- and we dont even live near the water

DH and I were out around noon..we live in Wantagh. We had to pull over to the side of the road b/c it was so hard to see. But a tornado we didn't experience...holy crap!

I just saw that on the news!! Crazy a tornado here!

I work in Wantagh and it was craaazy outside.
Especially since i sit right next to the bank of windows, i wanted to crawl under my desk
