Re: Total Cost

I am happy to see that i am not the only one doing it for under $40,000 lol. I never thought I would be able to have any kind of a decent wedding. His family is helping to make alot of things possible and even though we are still on a tight budget, we are getting the most bang for our buck out of this. I am so excited! :)

Re: Total Cost

mine was well under 40k! I had 140 people and tried to do and get everything I want without spending a bajillion dollars. I think we spent a lot, but it could have been a lot more!!

Re: Total Cost

Our budget is around 25,000 including everything between enagement ring-honeymoon. So far we are doing pretty well sticking to budget, but I still havent booked my florist or bought my invitations. I think we'll be ok!

Re: Total Cost

I have to admit I can be a bit of a princess, but so far, even with the few extravagences I have thrown in, we are doing things pretty reasonably. I never knew I could be a such a bargain hunter!

Ex: Found my dress at a sample sale, am making my pocketfold invites, and bought the centerpiece vases for $1 at target which significantly lowered the costs of our centerpieces.

I think that just seeing the creativity of everyone on this site has inspired me!

Re: Total Cost

wow this poll is quite pricey!

i think a lot of ladies would fall in the less than $40K category

i know i did!

but i have to say i would LOVE to fall into the over 75 category!

Re: Total Cost

Waaayyyy under 40K. I wouldn't want to spend that much money on the wedding anyway.

Re: Total Cost

with wedding gifts, wedding bands, the honeymoon, rehearsal dinner (we arent paying for the RD), everything wedding related except my ring it would probably in the 70's but i really dont want to think about it i like to say its 50K but i really don't think so after adding up every single thing - especially once you add in the wedidng gifts, rehearsal dinner and HM

EsquireBride Posted:

Re: Total Cost

We are under 40K easily, and that also includes the HM and my dress. But we have a small guest list (only 80) and no rehersal dinner, no limos, etc.

I started out with a budget of 15K (without dress and HM), but I underestimated how much a it would cost to decorate a chuppah and how much photographers are. So I raised it to 18K, and that looks more reasonable.
