i think a lot of ladies would fall in the less than $40K category
i know i did!
but i have to say i would LOVE to fall into the over 75 category!
Love to fall into the over 75 category?? I do and it's killing me!
But, we have about 300ppl, a large BP- I think that's what makes it sooo expensive.

Re: Total Cost
Ours was less than the amounts you have listed. We spent around $30,000; it wasnt any more than that I know.

Re: Total Cost
Unfortunetely it is 75+ which we are covering solo (other than my dress and the RD). I really don't think we went overboard on anything other than maybe our per person at our hall and our photog but we are cutting corners anywhere we can. Having 250 people and big families and bridal parties just makes it hard. Thank god I am in my late twenties and work 60+ hours a week!

Re: Total Cost
way under 40,000 more like under 20,000 it is only one day. I would rather save and spend on a house!

Re: Total Cost
With my budget put in place - i have gotten everything that I wanted - all of the vendors that I wanted at amazing prices - I would say when all is said and done it will probably be under $25k - I think thats pretty good

agreed. we have a large guestlist, almost 400 ppl which is 60K on its own. ack! but we are proudly paying for this ourselves, even if it means ill be bald at the end of it all.

Re: Total Cost
Oh man, definitely feeling the pain of the wedding cost!!! FH and I are happily (well sort of happily ) paying for the wedding ourselves as well. And it looks like when all is said and done, its going to be around 40K (including HM, wedding band etc.) Gosh, let me pray that it doesn't exceed that!!! But I'm hoping with the money that is received from the wedding in gifts, I'll make back some of it! Otherwise we will be broke.
btw, FH and I did the reverse of what normal couples would do, we just purchased our apartment, so are stressing out even more about the wedding cost. Sheesh, the joys of being a home owner.

Re: Total Cost
Between $40K and 50 with everything. We're not having a RD so that def helps. We have a big BP so all the gifts adds up as well. Wish I was part of the under 40 crew And to think we weren't extravagant!

Re: Total Cost
We're in the 75+ category. I am very fortunate my parents can and are willing to do this for us.

Re: Total Cost
Wedding, rehearsal etc. 50+ With rings and honeymoon 85+
ridiculous, but again we're older (30s) and my parents gave 25k.

Re: Total Cost
easily 75+, mostly due to renting out the facility for the entire day and the large guest list (~300pp). I am lucky to have a lot of family members contributing and FH's family is helping out with the RD, all the tuxes, and hotel rooms for his family (they are from CT). Plus I gave my parents a few years to prepare!
