Although I like to watch this show, IMO, I would never want them to touch my home!!! Some things (most) I find hideous!! Very few things I like.
I may be the oddball here, but Thanks anyway, I'll pass

I love the show too! But some of the stuff that they do scares me and to think I might walk in and see Moss on my wall would make me freak!

I like to watch it for the ideas. Though some of the stuff they do is just horrible. There was the hay on the wall episode, the lets paint the room blood red episode, and my favorite the episodes when the people really hate the room.
I wouldnt touch anything, but some of the stuff they do isnt bad. key words 'some of it'

I absolutely love that show! I am addicted to it. I think the stuff they do is hideous, and would not let them in my house, but they have some good ideas. I like some of the designers

I enjoy the show - we do get some ideas and it makes you think outside the box. But I would never try to be on the show. The quality of any furniture is really awful and they come up with the craziest, ie ugliest, ideas sometimes.

I LOVE the show...and would ONLY trust Lori, and Vern to do my house. I used to like Frank...but his work is getting a bit strange.

Re: Trading Spaces, now....
Kia did this room that I saw today in this weird seashell theme. The walls were seaphone green, the head board was this huge seashell, and she made this odd tv case that was so heavy when Ty was helping move it as they had 2 minutes left, he dropped it and it broke. Her taste is really weird.

Re: Trading Spaces, now....
what did you think of the seashell room???
I liked the color of the other room, that blue. I didnt like the couch or the fact that there was nothing in the room. But I did like the color, very cool and relaxing

I agree thats it, the color. I wonder if there is something that states if you hate what they do, they give you the money to fix it back?

Re: Trading Spaces, now....
Here ya go Frequently asked questions about Trading spaces. I got it off the website
Q: What happens when the home owners don't like what you have done?
A: Everyone on our show is told upfront that there's a chance they won't like the final design of the room. Each applicant signs a release acknowledging that the show is not responsible for redecorating a room that isn't to the owner's taste.
Q: What happens if a designer goes over budget?
A: The show pays the $1,000 redecorating fee as well as any amount over budget.
Q: Where do the designers get all that great fabric?
A: Each designer has his or her own favorite places to shop. Check out Gen's and Vern's bios to see lists of their favorite shopping haunts.
Q: Why do crew members wear the same clothes for two days?
A: Wearing the same clothes is for continuity. The producers may need to edit out of sequence.
Q: What happens if a room isn't done on time?
A: If a room isn't done on time, projects need to be cut or 'revised' in order to finish. By revised, I mean that maybe cabinet doors are held together with duct tape at the end of the show. In that case, we would leave hardware and instructions so the homeowner can finish the project after we leave.
Q: Are any contracts signed at the beginning of the show stating whether or not Trading Spaces can not touch certain things in a room, such as painting a hardwood floor?
A: If a homeowner does not want us to touch an item in their home, we strongly recommend that they remove that item from their home. If they cannot remove it (for instance, a hardwood floor) then they can protect that item on their release forms. The more items a homeowner protects, however, the less likely they are to appear on the show. Remember, the name of the game is that anything can happen!

Re: Trading Spaces, now....
I cant believe when they go over on time they sort of abandon the project. Imagine getting directions to attach your cabinet doors

Re: Trading Spaces, now....
The same clothes always bugged me, I thought maybe they didn't really use 2 days or they messed with the time frame.
I would love for Vern to come to my house and redecorate!!! I love him!!
