Traffic --> East-West Friday of Labor day weekend?

Hello ladies!!!
I have a question in regards to traffic.... Do you think there would be bad traffic going West on the Friday of Labor day weekend? My dream was always to get married at my local Church, in Wading River....But we had to change our venue to Long Beach... Is it possible to travel from Wading River to Long Beach on the Friday of Labor day weekend? I always thought most of the traffic at that point would be going East..to the Hamptoms... But Long Beach Im sure is going to have traffic....

This is tricky. It is always possible....but there will surely be traffic, depending on time of day??? Lot's of people head to the poconos/jersey shore/boston that weekend as well as out east. We went to look at East Wind (I'm in massapequa) and it was just under 1.5 hours, with little traffic on a friday in the summer. Then to go past us to LB, it's probably 2 hours total, without much traffic. But you could totally do it if the timing works out and depending on where your guests will be coming from...are most out east in the wading river area? if you have nassau/city/oot guests, they may not make it out to the ceremony, would that bug you? But totally follow your dreams, may take some extra time/planning however!

You need to go to Long Beach Via Ocean Parkway. Stay away from the L.I.E. & Southern State Pky. Take The Will Floyd to 27 West........... to The R.M. Causeway South ......... to Ocean Pky. West. It should take 1 hour 20 mins. to get to L.B.

ita - ocean parkway is definitely the best route, there is RARELY any traffic.

Honestly, I think there is going to be traffic all over. People go out east for sure. But other's are trying to get off the island to go away for the weekend. It really depends on the time of everything.

i think there will definately be traffic, but ocean parkway would definately be your best route

Definately take the Ocean Parkway route, this is road that is not traveled on as much, and will probably save you a lot of time. Avoid the Southern State at all costs.
