OMG, I love my new job...when I can get there!! I sat in traffic this morning for two hours!!! I was late for work on the second day!! Thankfully I have a great new boss who totally understood, because I am coming from so far away, but I was so mad, fuming, driving in this morning!! I work in Glen Cove and commute from Merrick, does anyone know alternative routes into Glen Cove from Merrick without taking Glen Cove Road? I know I can take 107 and cut off most of Glen Cove road, but that is way out of my way and it is a single lane!! HELP!!!! I hate traffic!!!!

I feel your pain and know EXACTLY what you mean. It took me 2 hours also this morning from Centereach to Hempstead! The weather also did not help.

jaime i know how you feel- i used to commute to glen head from west hempstead and took your way. when the weather was bad, it took forever!

I can totally understand your frustration .. I once got stuck on the Cross Bronx Expressway .. it took over 1 1/2 hours to go 2 miles!!!No, it was not raining .. it was a beautiful summer weekday afternoon.
Instead of going down Route 107, would going over to Route 106 (via Route 25A) be too far out of your way??? At least that is 2 lanes.
