Transit layoffs

This sucks. Either they lay off 1200 transit workers, or raise fares again. Ok, so lets close down MORE tollbooths and make subways even MORE sketchy!!!! No, lets make it so that Donald Flippin Trump is the ONLY one who can afford a subway ride!!!!

I was talking to some of my fellow LIRR commuters on the way in this morning and one guy said it best: If you are a monopoly and you are that badly in debt, you are just managing your money very poorly.

It's criminal what they are doing. Pretty soon we won't be able to afford to come to work.

I don't have a problem with a $2 subway ride since the subways run very well.

The express buss $4 is getting a little up there and most of the express bus companies are in bad financial situation.

But the LIRR fares are out of control.
