Is travel insurance something I should get? My travel agent is looking into the prices, he said he recommends it. What exactly does it cover?

Re: Travel Insurance
there are different kinds, but most of them will cover cancellations before the trip and after you start your vacation they cover trip interruptions, lost luggage etc...

I'd say go for it. We got the travel insurance and it only cost us $59 each. If you need it, it will be worth it!

Ditto on all accounts!
Although I strongly recommend buying through www.travelguard.com because it's cheaper.

Re: Travel Insurance
I'm assuming you mean for the honeymoon. Absolutely. Insurance covers more than just cancellations, it also covers things like getting sick while on vacation and having to return home early. There is no way I would spend thousands on a honeymoon without it.

I bought it from travelguard.com It covers everything but alien invasion.
You can also check out insuremytrip.com it does a price and policy comparison.

Re: Travel Insurance
Definately! We got ours for $100 per person from our travel agent. We didn't know about these websites, oh well.
Look at that groom in our area that somehow spent his wedding night in jail recently. I'm not sure when he got out, so you never know. (By the way, we got it before that incident)

Re: Travel Insurance
Get it. I tell everyone to get it. My DH got sick before our wedding and we needed to cancel the honeymoon because he needed an operation right after the wedding.
It doesn't cost a lot at all and it's so worth it.
