Travel System or NO?

Help. Would you recommend getting a travel system or just getting the infant car seat and Snap N Go and a regular stroller later on..

Opinions please..

Get the Snap & Go or Kolcraft frame - they are under $50 and are supposed to be good.

Then you can choose whatever is best for the next few years from among all the many possibilities!

I registered for both becuase the snap and go was pretty inexpensive, I figured that since Im getting an infant seat with the travel system that I could use that seat with the snap and go for short trips around when I wanted something lightweight and easy and then the travel system when I would be using the stroller for extended times and I would also have the stroller when he grew out of the infant car seat.

Very good thinking. Would you mind telling me what brand Travel System you registered for?

I like the Graco..

Oh it is very pretty! :)

I will go and test them out.

My biggest concern was whether to do a Travel System at all.

We were going to register for a stroller with a seperate car seat but then one of the guys my hubby works with kept telling him 'You HAVE to get a travel system!' 'You HAVE to get a travel system'. When a guy gushes about a baby product, I figure its probably a good idea to listen. LOL

I have the Graco Quattro Travel System. I loved it when Emily was first born. What I didn't realize is that she would out grow the infant seat so quickly. If I was to do it again, I'd look into which brand can support a longer baby. My daughter is tall. They outgrow the seat at 20 pounds and/or 26 inches. Emily was 15 pounds and 26 and a half inches long at three and a half months old! I only used my travel system for three months. I miss it a lot. If you and dh are tall, I'd look into which brand can support a taller baby. I don't even know if 26 inches is the standered for all infant seats. I still use the stroller part, but I miss the infant seat.

I'm getting the snap and go and infant car seat, and a stroller (Peg Perego Pliko P3) for when the baby outgrows the infant seat. I'm petite and can't lift those heavy strollers and travel systems.

I have the Peg Perego Pliko P3 system and I love it. We have the car seat that goes with it and it's so nice, especially in the winter, to just put her from the car seat to the stroller.

If you have more then one car you should also register for another base. And if you're going to have somebody else watch the baby then I would recommend getting the snap and go.

I would probably do the snap and go and a separate stroller if I had it to do over again (I have the Graco travel system) - I like the strollers (I think they're Peg's) where the child can sit facing either direction. I had both, the snap and go was great for when I went to the mall alone/

I have the snap & go and the Peg Prego Pliko 3. I haven't used them since the baby isn't due for another 6 weeks but friends have recommended this option over the travel systems.
