Has anyone else had a difficult time connecting with Travel Tom? We've gone back and forth through email and everytime I call he's unavailable!
I'm about to give up on him... It's a shame bc I've heard of sooo many girls who've had a positive experience.

Don't give up if he is going to save you money and help you plan a fantastic trip. Shoot him an email asking him for a time that he is available today.

I've been back and forth with how i feel about him. He was away for awhile and didn't get back to me for over a week and i was annoyed, but since he's been back he's emailed me back almost right away. If you really want to see what he can do for you, hang in there! He'll get back to you!

I still have time, so I guess I'll just wait to see what happens...
It's just frustrating - especially when everyone LOVES him! He's had so much promotion on this site, he must be a busy busy guy!

Yeah, we really give him a lot of business. haha. I used him and posted a review and he told me his email was flooded all of a sudden, so he went on liweddings and saw my review. He said, ohhh, that explains it. haha
I would definitely email him and ask him when a good time to call would be. Thats what FH and I did, and we called him right at that time with no problems. He is definitely busy!
Worth it though! He won't go over your budget!!!

He's great & worth waiting to talk to!!! We just booked our HM last weekend- so we were a priority & we spoke to him EVERYDAY. He mentioned so many girls were calling for end of '08 and beginning of '09 looking to book HM and he was like 'WOW_ I DON'T EVEN HAVE RATES FOR SOME PLACES YET'. SO, just to reassure you- he will get back to you... he works super late. I'm not sure where you want to go for your HM- but you have time We're going to Italy and rates didn't come out until end of Jan which is why we waited so long... Good Luck!!

I called him and spoke to him a few times ... we are going to Alaska though, and while he at first seemed able to help me, he eventually told me that I'd be better off booking myself since he didn't have access to discounts there. I booked through expedia and got a great deal ... with delta airlines and major hotel chains ... so I am not sure why he did that. I think he's probably great for the beach vacation, and doesn't do a lot of adventure / off-the-beaten path and so that is why he wasn't right for me.

im still waiting for him to call back, problem is that i cant really wait. I check the availability of the hotel we really want in barcelona and they dont have many left. Infact for the room we want they only have 2 available rooms. Also hotel in monaco the availability is low so we are looking to book this weekend. He was very nice but unfortunately i need to book ASAP. I called him on monday

this is the case with ALOT of TA's...FMIL has been telling us to use the TA her friends kids used for their HM and for their vacations too. Well when we called him he couldn't get deals in barcelona and monaco he gave us suggestions for something we didnt want at all. His mom said he books alot of caribbean vacations and cruises. Which is fine and understandable. If they can't do europe then they should say it straight up.
TOm however did say he knew barcelona well, so not sure how it works with him

We used Travel Solutions by Marcia, and got a fantastic price. She was great to work with, very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. If you are having trouble reaching whomever you were planning to use, you should give her a shot

We have had trouble getting in touch with him as well. My fh called him a couple of times and he replies through email and tells us to call him but he may be busy cause he has a 3 yr old. I just feel that if he is that busy then maybe he has too much on his plate. I think we are actually dealing with a travel agent near our house that has been extremely helpful and seems to be doing the right thing price wise!!

He's probably just super busy right now. Don't worry he'll get back to you. Also, you have PLENTY of time to book. We booked in September for our December honeymoon. Tom got us a great deal; we are so glad we went with him.

he takes his time getting back to you.. but he does and he hooks up good.. don't give up on him.. he's working on ours now.. and he got back to us w/ a lot of stuff..
