Tropicana or Harrah's in AC?

Doing my B-party in AC, and I am helping them plan it. The two hotels we are looking into are Tropicana and Harrah's. Thoughts/Opinion on the two? The Tropicana is cheaper so that may sway people's vote who are being invited.

Also I don't know if this is an AC thing, but why do they make the same room more money for 4 people? This is at Tropica, don't know about Harrah's. All I know is that is sooooo stupid...it's not like they are feeding you so what difference does it make. I mean does it really matter if you lie and say there are 2 people when there are really 4? Has anyone done that? And was anything said to you for doing so?

Tropicana is great because it is right on the board walk so the girls who don't want to gamble can walk around or even go to the outlets right around the corner.

Harrahs is good because it has 'the pool'.

In my opinion I would do Tropicana just because it is more convenient.

Are you planning to go to The Pool at night? If so, Harrah's makes sense. If not, definitely Tropicana.

My step sister (the guru of AC in the group) loves it there and says it is great there. I don't know what kind of clubs are in Tropicana. She said the pool at night is great and she loves the music (but I don't know if we like the same music 100%..lol)

I've been to The Pool a few times. It's very pretty and the area is big. I have to say that the crowd was pretty young the times I went and people seemed to do more standing than dancing.

Providence, the club at the Trop, is more of a dance environment, but it's much smaller.

I like a mix of music really. But when I go out I like to listen to hip-hop, reggae, spanish music, some dance or pop thrown in there. But not into fist pumping all night long to techno or house music.

I just got back from my bachelorette party at Tropicana.....OMG, IT WAS THE BEST TIME EVER!!!! We did Carmine's for dinner, but there were other restaurants there to eat too (PF Changs, Cuba Libre) but definitely make reservations ahead of time because on the weekends it's packed!!! We went to Providence nightclub for a little while, but ended up in the karaoke bar....F'N HYSTERICAL!!!! I've never laughed or heard better music in my life! There's even a diner in the middle of the casino where you can cheese fries at 3am

My FSIL met a guy and ended up smooching on the beach for a while so it's really close to the beach. If you get there early enough, there's a rooftop pool that's REALLY nice and relaxing.

IMO Tropicana was awesome and I wouldn't change a thing!!!

I personally LOVE harrahs!
The rooms are nicer and its a more hip, funner environment. Thats just me though. If you choose to stay at the Trop, you can always cab it over to any hotel you want to party and gamble!

I was waiting for your input since I know you just got back! lol. Wussup with that extra $25 charge per person in a room? I feel like lying and just saying it is 2 people to save the 50 or 100 bucks. It's not like food is included so why charge more?

I say Tropicana. It's on the boardwalk, has a nice club, a lounge etc.

We are staying at Harrahs for mine - we will probably take a cab to Tropicana and spend the day at Harrahs tanning on the roof.

Harrahs hands down!

I def hear ya on that one! When I went for a freinds bach party there was a nice mix of ages I thought... Either way you will have an amazing time!!!
