Not that I have SO much to lose, but I technically am having the worst time losing the 7 lbs i need to lose.
Anyone else?
How many times a week are people working out? The past 3 weeks, I've been doing 4 times, which is beginning to help.
TIA

Hi!
What is your diet like? Diet is 90% of the fitness battle. I workout 6 days a week doing a mix of cardio and weight training. I am a huge believer in weight training over cardio. Building muscle will naturally help you burn fat and calories!
Make sure you are eating enough. If you want any help with nutrition/workouts feel free to FM! I love nutrition and fitness!

Keep doing what you are doing! Work out 4 times a week or so and do a mix of cardio and weight training.. but def dont skip weight training, it really helps... Make sure to eat healthy (try smaller more frequent meals rather than 3 big meals a day) and dont eat anything after 8pm. Also drink alot of water and green tea.
Don't worry you will get there

Thanks Ladies! I really dont' eat badly, per say, I'm doing WW and towards Thursday of each week I kinda stop counting, but basically its little things that add up I think. I guess I need to do more weights it seems. I do some, but not enough and my biggest problem are my arms I think.
And I don't drink enough water - need to get on that.

Re: Trouble losing weight.
Thats the one thing I hate about losing weight is doesn't happen over night. The 4 times a week workout is great!!! Keep it up! Small meals and try not to eat after 8 that does help and yes drink lots of water.... I really have to start back at my going to the gym, I'm slacking since it's getting cold out

Re: Trouble losing weight.
Smalls definitely help. I dont follow the 'Eat after 8 rule' I actually eat right before bed and it works for me. Weight watchers was good but it didnt work for me because I didnt get enough protein. Also bec areful because low fat foods usually are loaded with sugar to give them flavor! So really check your labels. Think high protein, healthy carbs and fats mixed with LOTS of veggies!!!

Ok, great. Thanks Ladies!
I'm going to make a lean roasted pork tenderloin for dinner with acorn squash :)
(How does that seem health-wise. It's technically core in WW)

Re: Trouble losing weight.
hehe - thanks so much! I love cooking, I cook pretty healthily (per above) but I feel like those couple extra glasses of wine or low-fat frozen yogurt, etc just seem to be more severe than when I see friends eating french fries or potato chips.
I'm short, so I wonder if that stuff just has much more of an effect on me.
grr being short! haha

if you are doing WW and are doing the flex.....try switching to core for a week. (or vice versa) the change in diet will help......

Re: Trouble losing weight.
Keep your head up and keep doing what you are doing. I feel exactly the same and I feel like I used to be able to get rid of some extra pounds fairly easy, but it has been a lot of work for me too. But remember...loosing a little is actually harder than for someone who is actually over weight; it just goes faster. The body is holding on to those extra pound so much more. We can do this!!!!

Re: Trouble losing weight.
sadly i haven't been to the gym in a couple weeks. but i haven't gained BACK any weight that i lost, i have made a lifestyle change, watching what i eat, how much i eat, and when i eat. i NEVER drink anything but water and sometimes coffee/tea. Its really hard and it took me a few months to really change but it definitely helps when you don't have time to go to the gym and don't want to put it back on!
don't get stressed!!!! just relax and take care of yourself!!!

Re: Trouble losing weight.
Kay - thanks so much. I probably would be a lot heavier if I wasn't eating as carefully as I am...so I guess I need to remember that, too.
Thanks girls...
I'm doing a good cardio and weight workout today! :) Yay!

Re: Trouble losing weight.
my advice is to give up any diet soda if you drink it. That has always been the best for me when doing WW. They keep saying the studies show people who drink diet soda are obeses. It give you the false sense of sugar in your diet and that is why you will crave the frozen yogurt and other things with sugar or fake sugar.
Try giving it up for a week and you might find your appetite changes as well as your cravings.

Drink lots of water, and cut out refined sugar. Especially if you're a coffee drinker. Also, if it's frozen, don't eat it. Balsamic vinegar speeds your metabolism, as does green tea. I should really follow my own advice lol, but I've actually been trying to gain weight.

Like hot pockets, stouffers mac n cheese, pot pies, chimichangas, tv dinners, elios pizza...stuff that's full of preservatives and 60 grams of fat.

Re: Trouble losing weight.
I agree with mixing cardio and light weights.. but I personally hate diets like WW. They're not healthy. I look more into the health aspect of things than the weight.. like right now I need to gain 5-10 lbs, but I'm adding healthy calories to my diet.. not just eating junk to add mass. Cut out refined foods, anything modified or hydrogenated, anything artificial.. drinks lots of water and eat organic as much as possible. Add in lots of fresh fruits & veggies. fm for any info.. i'm no expert but i do a lot of research and try to be as health conscious as possible.
