Trouble losing weight.

Original post by CandB4604

Not that I have SO much to lose, but I technically am having the worst time losing the 7 lbs i need to lose.

Anyone else?

How many times a week are people working out? The past 3 weeks, I've been doing 4 times, which is beginning to help.

TIA

So, I FINALLY decided to go running today to lose weight for the epics and the wedding..... then an hour after my run, I decided to get some Halloween candy and my FH just looked at me and smiled LOL

Hi!

What is your diet like? Diet is 90% of the fitness battle. I workout 6 days a week doing a mix of cardio and weight training. I am a huge believer in weight training over cardio. Building muscle will naturally help you burn fat and calories!

Make sure you are eating enough. If you want any help with nutrition/workouts feel free to FM! I love nutrition and fitness!

I would listen to anything lauren says.... shes the rock of the boards!

I have been saying the same thing how I need to lose the weight but never went back to the gym after my vacatioin to FL in may so I keep tellin myself that i have 7 months to lose the weight but then realized i only have three months before my first fitting so if i am gonna do something It's gotta be now so I started drinking only water and watching what I am eating no more fast foods and going to the gym 4-5 times a week and have been doing this for a week and lets see what the end of the month results will be. By doing this I feel better and happier with myself.

I've always heard that getting engaged is motivation to lose weight. So now that I'm engaged, I'm hoping that motivation starts kicking in. I once lost 10 pounds without doing anything and have kept it off. Ideally, I'd like to lose 15 pounds before my wedding in 10 months. It sounds so doable...but we'll see. I'm kicking up my gym habit from 3 to 4 or 5 times a week and trying to watch what I eat a bit. If I could lose 1-2 pounds a week I could be at my goal weight right around the new year. Ahhhh!

I thought so too.. I thought it would really put my self into the wedding mode as soon as I had a ring on my finger but that didn't work. I was trying but not really. I was on and off diets and hated excercising. Then to top it off, I've hurt my knee while excercising so that gave me an excuse to avoid the gym like the plague. I've gained about 20 lbs since I've met the FH 2 years ago. I blame him for the happy pigging-out blissful life.... But I realize I do not want the chicken wing arms and jiggly belly on my wedding day.

Last week I was in Florida enjoying some sun and I ate anything I could possibly want to eat. I really needed to get everything out of my system. Worrying about weightloss and what I cannot have was really giving me stress....

When I got back, I put myself in the right mind set since I realized that i don't have alot of time if I want to lose weight the healthy way. I've joined WW, I vowed to excercise everyday for an hour. So far I've lost 2lbs. I think the best way to deal with this whole thing is to put good for you food in your body, feel good eating it and taking one day at a time. I also think the excercise is helping with the stress because I've been in much better mood lately. But then again... it could be the vacation too...

Anyhow, I just wanted to share with everyone my story and maybe help hold myself accountable now that I've declared I'm officially on a diet... AGAIN!

GOOD LUCK LADIES!!! WE CAN DO IT!
