My friend who lives in DC near me got engaged about 6 months in September. She was with her fiance for 4 years.
Long story short...she suspected something wasn't 'right' b/c her fiance was staying out all the time and acting strange. She snooped and checked his sent mail messages...only to find massive emails back and forth between him and one of her bridesmaids....a girl we both went to school with, in our sorority. They had been 'dating' one another for 4 months!! So my poor friend has been planning a wedding, putting down deposits and now finds all this out. Needless to say...wedding is off, his family is disgusted...and he continues to date the other girl who of course is no longer her friend.
She has lost $3000 in deposits and is getting through it all...but what a terrible story. Sorry for the sad story...but I just couldnt get over it. When you think you know someone...
And he had the nerve to say 'things happen, we were just good friends and one thing led to another'....he would have gone through with the marriage while the other woman walked down the aisle as a bridesmaid!!! Men like that make me sick...(women too, don't want to single out just the men)

That is a horrible story! And to think that her BM was acting like nothing was going on and still agreed to be in the wedding party! OMG!

How horrible. I hope your friend finds some comfort eventually. It would be easy to say 'better now than later' but to her it hurts just as bad. Time will heal her heart and she deserves a man and a friend who will care for it better than the other two.

How disgusting. Better to find out now, before more money was spent. Sounds like her ex-fh & this bridesmaid were mde for each other. Such pathetic people.

Thats so terrible. I hate guys that think its okay to cheat. Atleast she found out before the wedding instead of spending all that money only to find out later what a sleazeball he really is.

I don't question my FH either..he was disgusted with her fiance...said 'i always thought there was something shady about him'.
She saw right through it though and really loved him...its terrible because she literally had a webpage made for them with pics of the bridal party, pics of them...OH and the bridesmaid flat out denied it until she got the fiance to fully confess...
Now she is terrified to go near my friend...she should be!!! How disgusting. Needless to say...i am taking her out on the town for a much needed girls weekend. I only hope she finds a great guy...

wow thats horrible- and so sucky to have gone thru the excitement of being engaged and planning a wedding to have it all be gone. poor thing. no one deserves that.

She really got off cheap, though- $3000 in deposits is better than all the other money she would have in legal fees when she divorced him later. I feel badly when I hear things like this but thank god she found out now!
