Trump to open Jones Beach catering hall Eyewitness News (Jones Beach - AP, September 14, 2006) - Donald Trump is opening for business on Long Island.
Trump currently has properties in New York, New Jersey and Westchester. On Thursday, he will announce plans to partner with Bethpage caterer Steve Carl to create a $40 million upscale catering hall and restaurant on the Jones Beach Boardwalk. The property will be called Trump on the Ocean.
The 36,000-square-foot facility would take the place of the historic Boardwalk Restaurant, which was demolished two years ago. The six acres of property would feature terraces and a three-story building including a lounge-like nightclub and restaurant.
State Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro will be on hand for today's announcement. The state has given Trump a 40-year lease on the property.
Carl, who runs Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, said construction on the catering hall and restaurant will likely start in November and open in the summer of 2008.

Wow...that sounds great. Even the name sounds classy. I'm sure that place is going to be gorgeous, everything Trump touches turns to gold! I personally think he's great, I know there are a lot of Trump haters out ther lol!

It sounds awesome...however, 'Trump on the Ocean' is a dumb name and I would not want that arrogant, consistent bad hair day's name on my invitation. JMO. He is so freakin full of himself...well I might be too if I was him I guess.

I don't know, i kind of got conflicting opinions from the article I read.
I also thought it was really nice how they planned a windfarm for there, and now he is going to fight it.

I was so mad when I heard this!! I would have loved to have my wedding there. They say the lobby is going to have a large upobstructed view of the ocean!!!
