Re: Trunk Show

it's when a particular designer is featured at a wedding salon or store. They bring in extra dresses for the event- they travel from place to place with these samples- generally it is to debut a new collection, or just to promote their dresses- perhaps they bring older styles that are still popular sellers.

The best parts about a trunk show- you usually get 10 to 15% off the dress if you purchase. You meet with the designer or a high-up representative from the company. This is great cause if you want to customize anything-- you have the designer there to help you with your decision and alsi instill confidence.

any other questions??

Re: Trunk Show

ok, i understand. what happens of you find a dress at a trunk show, but you are not ready to order it. do you then go through the designer when you are ready or the store. will the store get the dress in for you at another time, or does the designer take back the dresses they bring.

Re: Trunk Show

Well- that is the thing. At a trunk show, the designer is there to make the sale- so they will do as much as they can to close the deal- hence the discount.

Usually- if you find a dress you love, you should look for other trunk shows in the area- so, you can have some time to think about it, look around, etc. It's the same deal at each one- so, you can go back and get the dress somewhere else, get the same service and get the same discount.

You order your dress through the wedding salon, not the designer.
