Trying on my dress

Original post by Toucan311

Ok, I'm a little annoyed. First of all, Bridal Suite of Bayshore did not call me OR send me a post card to let me know my dress/veil were in. I called 2 wks ago adn was told my dress was in adn they would contact me when my veil arrived. I called today, and the girl said they're both in... hmmm... anyhow, I asked if I could try it on prior to my fittings to make sure everything is ok with it, etc. She said yes, but that they only permit ONE preview before the trials, so that I'd better bring everyone that I want to see the dress w/me at one time! They won't take it out of storage again until my fittings! Is this normal!? I'm a little put off!

Also - Should I take the veil? What if I need to have a hair trial before then?

Re: Trying on my dress

same situation, i asked also if i would be contacted after my dress came back WRONG , TWICE from the manufacturer(wanted crystals, came back w/ silver backed rhinestones, after i paid a lot for crystals, and they didn't even realize they were rhinestones until i almost cried). and when i called to see (the 2nd time) she basically lied and said the crystals looked how I wanted them ( i compared them to another dress) and it was totally wrong :( she obviously didn't even look at the dress and just told me yes

im going Thursday to see it for the 3rd time.

they were very rude too, telling me the other dress i was comapring the crystal design too was really expensive... swvarski crystals are swvarski crystals no matter what dress its on, plus i asked how much would it be for that design on my dress and they gave me a price (a high price) so i dont want to hear how the other dress is more expensive!
i decided im not getting my alterations done there, i want someone who is going to work with me and i dont want to feel like im stepping on toes if i dont like something
