trying to avoid spring breakers

Does anyone know exactly when 'spring break' is, when college kids go away and party? We are getting married on March 17 and are newly considering going to Cancun for a few days just to get away (we are going to take our extended honeymoon in the summer on a cruise to Alaska). But I DO NOT want to run into the spring break crowd. Although the place we are thinking of going (Moon Palace) is all-inclusive and a 5-star place, I am just a bit leery since I know Cancun is a spring break hot spot. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
