Trying to find another job...what do you thikn?

Original post by PoppedInASnap

As much as i love teaching, what's going on with my school, and the abuse that i'm dealing with from the head honchos, I've decided next year I am not going back.

With how sick I always am the doctors said that the situations they are putting me in, leads to my immune system becoming so low from stress and its not healthy. With past health conditions I DO NOT want to end up sick..

FH says I should get a small job in Sept and consider going back to finish my masters. But in my head, that looks like... I got married to sit at home and do nothing. I don't know...

Does anyone have any good ideas of where I could work ? With the economy so bad I know I should be kissing my jobs feet but, mentally I can't handle it...

Thank you<3

Could you do private tutoring?

That's what I was thinking

I did that for a while but there really wasn't any money in it

aww first off you need some of these guys

second, no job is worth getting yourself sick over. Did you think about looking into private pre-k schools or like a Tutor Time? You can always do that while going back for your Masters. Sorry I do not know much about the teaching field so I do not have too many suggestions. Need help in the legal field, I can help with that lol.

How about subbing? I;m a sub and as much as it ***** sometimes it really not that bad. The district I'm in, we can pick and choose what days we want to work. The only downside is no medical benefits.

i have been hanging in at my job since last april....so i feel your pain....i can't believe they get away with all that nonsense...that is just awful....i don't think you should give a hoot what ppl think...we are most likely moving after the wedding for FH's career so I will have to put in notice...he also tells me i should go back to school and not work to get it done faster...i think u should do what feels right for you

Are you NYS certified to teach? Do you have your bachelors in education? Why aren't you working for a public school? You should at least apply to be a sub - you could probably get a permanent sub job while you're finishing your masters.
