Do you have a house phone too? Dh and I just had an argument because he doesn't see the need to pay $200.00 a month in cell phone bills AND pay for a house line. My point is that I need one, it is so annoying to always miss a call cause my cell was in the other room.

Maybe I am being a brat, but I think a house line IS necessary.

Yes I have a house phone. I HATE talking on the cell - sometimes I get bad reception, and a house phone is SO reliable. (plus sometimes I forget to charge my cell)

cell phone service is just NOT reliable enough IMO

i only use my cell out of the house

We have a landline too. There's certain calls I just don't need to be receiving on my cell in the middle of work. I'd rather hear that they left me a message at home and I can call them back at my convenience.

DH and I both have cell phones. We don't have a phone hooked up in our apartment tho. We both decided that it was an expense that we didn't need. We'd rather see the $$ go to something else.

agreed. to be honest, we ONLY have a house line now b/c it's that 'triple play' with cablevision and that's cheaper than the cable and internet alone.

We only have cell phones because no one EVER called us on our home phone, it was retarded to have it. I have a work phone I can use to call on bills or stuff like that.

Personally, I don't like to talk to anyone once I am home with DH anyway.

Plus, we had the triple play with time warner cable b/c we live in the city, but they kept giving us a 347 area code so no one ever believed it was a landline anyway! Even the Pizza Hut up the street!
