TTC question

IF I were lucky enough to conceive right after going off BC how long do you think it would take?

I plan to student teach in the fall (Sept-Dec) and would like to get prego right after that. Ideally I would like to be pregant in Dec or Jan. That is when I was going off the pill. Now I've been seeing it takes a long time for people and I'm thinking of going off earlier.

I am a healthy 33 (will be 34 at that time), regular periods, recently had a polyp scraped (sorry if TMI). I know 34 is getting up there and that is the reason for my concern.

Thanks

Re: TTC question

It really depends. Everyone is different and this isn't something you can predict.

My friend went off BC and boom -- that first month she got pregnant.

Most doctors recommend waiting at least 2 full regular cycles after you stop BCP to start TTC.

But regardless it could take no time or it could take a very long time.

Unfortunately there is really no way to plan it out, unless you are lucky on the first try.

So I would just go with the plan you have mentioned above and see what happens.

Good Luck.

Re: TTC question

I got pregant while I was on Orthotricylen so in my opinion it doesn't matter (had a misscarriage though around 02/03 )

I have two friends who got pregant within the first month of getting off the pill and they both have non identical twins 9 months later.

To both pieces of your response 070502...I'm on Orthotricyclene TWINS!?!?! That would kind of be fun!! My dad is an identical twin and they run all through his family. I would love to get them both out in one shot, no more pregancy:):) And, I'm so sorry to hear about you MC

Thanks to you too Stef
