TTC Thread

TTC Thread

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a TTC discussion group either on here or somewhere else since this site is getting crowded and I wouldn't want to take away from the brides planning weddings.

But my DH and I are TTC right now and it's just so frustrating and would love some others to share my feelings with that understand. I know there are other sites that have this but I feel like I know most of you more than the other web sites and I really like the liweddings set up. Anyway -- just some thoughts.

We have tried for 2 months. Today I start month # 3 because guess who showed up! GRRRRRR. I really thought this month was it -- but I'm feeling very depressed today as well and it's driving me nuts.

We have been at it for over a year, so I can totally understand yout frustration. I'd be more than happy to talk or answer questions

I think a TTC thread would be great. Maybe we need a new tab

Re: TTC Thread

I think a separate TTC tab would be overkill. TTC issues are relevant to parenting and family planning, and I'm sure some of the existing Moms may have some advice on this topic as well.

Feel free to vent your frustrations and ask for support...that is why we are here!

Stef - hang in there! 3 months is not a terribly long time in a practical sense, but in an emotional sense, I can completely understand why it may feel like an eternity to you. But, try to relax b/c stress and tension will only hurt your chances of conception. Have a little wine, a nice long bubble bath, candles, some soothing music and focus on LOVE, not babies. It will happen!

Re: TTC Thread

Thank you Claud for your words of advice. And I've definitely made a promise to myself to relax today. I asked my hubby if we could go on a date tonight out to dinner and I do plan on having some wine! I keep restricting myself from wine b/c I keep thinking -- well I could be pregnant so I don't want to take a chance. Geez, we make ourselves crazy -- don't we.

Re: TTC Thread

Stef- that is tough keep in mind that it is completely normal-I know that doesn't help--we hope to start in the next few months(only 2 more pill packs to go!!) and my SIL advice to us--she had trouble conceiving and finally did after 2 rounds of shots--was to start OPK right away--that way down the road if there are any issues you can say that you have already been using them---sometimes timing works out for the best--but of course many of us try to plan every facet of our lives that it is frustrating that we have no control over this area---
Enjoy your date night

Re: TTC Thread

I don't think a TTC board is overkill. Most wedding and pregnancy sites have parenting and TTC boards. JMO

Re: TTC Thread

I think all the tabs are getting out of control - I think we can do TTC on the parenting board.

I agree with Lisa..

Re: TTC Thread

I prefer a TTC Thread... There is a few too many tabs as it is and its getting a bit crowded.

Re: TTC Thread

I think for this site to add a TTC tab is asking alot, but like all the other tabs that have been added, LIW has the final say.

That said, if you guys are really focused on TTC discussions, I definitely don't think that LIW is the right resource. JMO. I understand that everyone feels comfortable here and like we are a family. And, I LOVE that about this site.

But, it might be more worth it to visit other communities that have relevant reading material, expert reproductive doctors who are affiliated with the site and can answer your questions, and other resources specific to families and pregnancy or TTC.

Before I get flamed, I'm not knocking LIW! This is a wonderful site, but it's very specific to the wedding industry. They've added these other tabs to keep us here, but there's no expansion of services that cater to us now that we are in the post-wedding phase.

Honestly - we cannot give each other expert advice! Most of what we pass along is our own experiences and some heresay based on what we've heard from friends/family. JMO.
