How did you decide your wedding date? Is it a random date or does it have a significant meaning?

we got engaged on september 19th 2010 and we wanted some what of a long engagement and i always wanted a winter wedding and we wanted a cheap month to get married so we picked feb and the 11th is one month after my grandfathers bithday.

We just sort of decided! our anni is in Oct but we didnt want a fall wedding b/c we wanted it warm. we didnt want winter for the same reason plus i have so many OOTers and didnt want to risk canceled flights and what not. it came down to spring and summer and july 1st our RH happened to be avail and we thought it had a nice ring to it - and voila!

We originally wanted Sept/Oct because of the weather but having it on a Saturday was more impt... We all know Sat nights during those months are so expensive so we opted for an 'off season' month and went with the end of March... crossed fingers for sunshine and warmth

Our wedding date is a random date. We knew we wanted to have a Friday wedding and since I'm a teacher I could only have my wedding in the summer. So we went through all the Fridays in July and we liked the 20th the best!
