Today question has a few parts........ 1) How long were you dating fh before you met your future in laws? 2) how did you meet your future in laws, and how did it go?
I met my fmil about a Month after fh and I had met. It wasn't planned, I had gotten off work early so I went to fhs house, he still lived with his mom. She had also come home from work early so we just met. It was kind of a very short, hi how are you type of meeting.... but we are close now so it must of went ok. I do.t remember when I met ffil.

1) FH and I started dating May 17th and I met his parents at their July 4th BBQ 2) it went very well! we just clicked and I fit right in, and I talked to his Dad about football the whole time, so he instantly loved me

I think I met his mom a couple of weeks into the relationship at a bbq. I just stopper by to say hello and had a friend with me so it wasn't stressful or anything. I met his dad a couple of months into the relationship. We drove out to his house so it was a formal meeting. I think it went well.

1. I met them 2 weeks after we started dating.
2. I went to hang out with FH one saturday night and it ended up being a late night. I was too tired to drive back home, so I stayed over his house I slept in his room and he slept in the living room. He left a note for his dad saying that a girl stayed over. lol
So the next morning I'm woken up by FH and realized it was father's day!! So not only did I meet his parents, but his whole family!!! I was super nervous but they made me feel very comfortable.

1. It was shortly after we started dating maybe like 2 weeks
2. FH stopped by to do his laundry and asked me to come in with him... it was awkward but overall it went well!

I met FH's parents 1 week into dating him! lol! He had just gotten on a baseball team, the first since playing for college, so I wanted to go support him and watch him play. His cousin, brother and SIL were there whom I already knew. When I got there his cousin introduced them as Aunt D and Uncle M, and I guess becuase he didn't specifically say 'FH's parents' I assumed it was another aunt/uncle! I was polite and friendly of course and we got along. It wasn't until they started telling stories about FH and his brother that I realized!!!
But it went well and I grew closer to them very quickly, epsecially his mom. I am glad for that since she passed away just one year later.

Today question has a few parts........ 1) I think we were together two or three weeks. 2) I was so nervous because they had me and FH over for dinner, with the sole purpose of meeting me. Lots of pressure! But they are very nice and it went well.

I was only dating Fh a few months before i was meeting in laws and i met his mom on my lunch break while i was still in my uniform and it went well.

FHs parents are divorced. I met his mom and stepdad after dating about two weeks.....in the hospital. FH was hit by a car and had to get a titanium rod in his leg. Was in a wheelchair/crutches for the first 4 months of our relationship.
I met his dad after 7 months of dating when he came to visit (he lives in TX).

I think it was about 3 months before I met FHs parents- it was my first trip to Boston- it went well, they are a bit older, so it was kind of like I was meeting grandparents- they're nice, but very formal.

I never met FH mom. She died when he was younger. I met FH father for the first time in October of 2009 which is 3 months after we met.
2) how did you meet your future in laws, and how did it go?
FH father had advanced Parkinsons when I met him. He was not able to speak at all so he would type on a computer or point out letters. It was great meeting him and went as well as it could have in the circumstances. Unfortunately a couple weeks after we met he was admitted to the hospital and died December 1st.
FH always says that he hates that I never got to meet his mom and that I never really knew his dad. Sucks but I guess those are the cards that we were dealt.

I met FH's parents 3 days after we started dating! I went with him to Christmas Eve and met A LOT of people and it was a lot all at once but it was good being able to get through it!

FH invited me for dinner one evening last August. I didnt know he told them basically NOTHING about me, so it was an episode of 20 questions. It did go well though, and I am very happy to be joining the family.

I met the inlaws about 2 months after I was dating FH. Things went really well because it was his cousins birthday party. They were all very friendly

FH’s father passed away a year before we met. I met his mom a little under 2 months of us dating. They were driving around and I met up with them. His mom and I hit it off immediately.

FH and I were dating 2 months before I met his maternal Grandmother.
His maternal grandmother raised him and so for me that is my FMIL. It's soo funny b/c when I met her she started asking us when was the wedding? FH and I were like whoa! we have only been together for 2 months. But it's like she knew we would end up together eventually and married. All thru the years she would tell me she would pray that FH and I would end up together. And look her prayers worked b/c here we are planning our wedding almost 7 years later.

1. I dated FH about a week before I met his mother and a few months before I met his father.
2. I met them both at his house and it was a little awkward since I was his first and only girlfriend.

haha... We actually met in a bar and that night I went back to his house and we both kinda passes out on his living room couch LOL wheni woke up his mom was in the kitchen and his dad was walking their dog. so I met the whole family before we were officially dating LOL

Under those conditions it actually went well, when I woke up his mom was all chipper and was cooking eggs and making coffee. They were actually SO cool about it I almost didn't go out with my FH after that day. I figured since they were so ok with having some random girl waking up on their couch that must mean it happens all the time LOL I later found out they are just REALLY SUPER friendly

1. I met FH's mom shortly after we started dating. I have never met FH's dad. He lives in Hong Kong and is dying. I might meet him in the fall because FH and his brother want to go see him before he passes.
2. I was hanging out at his house (he lives with his mom) and she came home from being away for about a month. I think it went well but she doesn't speak much English. FH's mom likes me more than she does his brother's fiance so I guess that's as good as it gets lol
