hi ladies. sooo i was SET on tulips for my boquets and centerpieces - and i have tons of pictures saved and colors picked out and everything -and then i called flower michelle just because i had a weird feeling and they said tulips are NOT AVAILABLE in july!!!!!!!!!! WHAT! i kind of thought that tulips were a 'warm weather' flower and as long is it was spring/summer that they'd be available. SOMEONE please tell me that flower michelle is crazy and that i can find tulips for july 5!!!!!!!!!! im so upset :(

Yeah, tulips are pretty much a spring flower. They usually go till about May. I wanted to tulips too, but July is pretty much too late

did you already book with flower michele? Go to other florists if you didn't and see what they say. I heard the same thing about tulips for september

i didn't book a florist yet, i was just calling to see if they were available bc it didn't occur to me that they might not me. and when i heard, i was devastated :( i mean...doesn't holland grow tulips year-round??? haha

aww sorry. Like someone else said Tulips are usually the first to bloom in spring then they die off.
They would have looked really pretty!!
my one concern with them is that i would be affraid the petals would fall off quickly theyt seem so delicate.

actually someone posted a helpful post on flowers for particular seasons..heres the summer choices..
I'm sorry sweety. I am having french tulip CP's and my bo-k is a large bundle of cream tulips. My wedding is May 5th and John of FM said that was even pushing it with tulips but it can be done. They are an early spring flower (March/April). Calla lillies are a nice alternative?

that is not true. You can get tulips any time. My ssiter worked in a flrist shop for 3 years and went to school for it. You can get them...they might cost more but you can get them. I would call around to different shops.
