Tuxedo or suit for female groom attendant

Tuxedo or suit for female groom attendant

Do they make female tuxedos if your best man or groomsman was a girl?
That would be the case with our wedding.
She might look better not wearing a dress to match the other 2 guys she'll be standing with.
Can someone suggest some pictures/links with ideas. Maybe a pants suit like business attire...
Here's our non traditional bridal party

Bride's side
1 man of honor
1 bridesmaid

Groom's side
1 best man
1 groomsman
1 female groom attendant

my SIN was the best woman along with DH's bro being best man. She wore a gorgeors black gown as did my sis who was MOH.

I think a girl should be a girl regardless of what her role is.

hello Ashley Olsen!!!

I do think it would be OK for her to wear a dress, not sure what your BMs are wearing, but she could wear Black so it matches the guys.

I say go for a black dress. If it were me... I may not feel comfortable at a formal event like a wedding wearing a suit while every other girl wore cute dresse?!...

Of course the man of honor would be wearing a tux..not sure the color scheme yet.
But does it look good to have the one bridesmaid wearing a different color like purple or blue and the one girl on the other side wearing black?

depends on her personality but I'd be peeved if I had to wear a tux/suit... I think it would look great if she wore a black dress!

I think it would look nice if the man of honor had his vest match the bridesmaid dress and then for the female groom attendant can maybe just wear a black dress to somewhat compliment the groomsman. Do you know what your color scheme is going to be?

i think she should wear a black dress, maybe with a sash in the color that the bridesmaids are wearing, if the groomsmen will have something with the color of the bridesmaids.
her role is different from a bridesmaid, so i dont think it will look bad if she is in a different color, she is the best women and should stand out from the rest.

I think a black dress would look great. I was just at a wedding where this was the case and the female Best Man wore a long black gown and a sash that matched the color of the BM dresses. It looked amazing!

I'm having my brother as man of honor and FH is having his sister as best woman. She's having the same dress as the BM's, but in black. Not sure how or if we are differentiating my brother in some way...perhaps a different bout or vest. Just not sure.

I was in a wedding where the groom had a best woman. She wore the same dress that we (bridesmaids) wore, but she wore it in black (ours were in lilac). I thought that worked very nicely.

HTH!

I would have hear wear the same dress as the BM but that is JMO. If someone asked me to go to a wedding in a tux I would of course do it for my friend but I would feel VERY uncomfortable

ITA- I think a black dress with the sash of the BM dresses would be fine. I have a lot of guy friends so at some point if i'm ever in their wedding party I personally would be uncomfortable if i had to wear a suit if the other girls were in cute dresses.

ITA! As a woman, I would not ever want to wear pants to a formal affair.

wouldn't you wear a business suit to a job interview?
women wear that everyday to their office jobs i don't see why it is so uncomfortable..
we would accessorize so she doesn't look like one of the waitresses.

She is a little reluctant about wearing a tux...she doesn't want people looking at her funny...and i do care for her concerns..but i think she is being a bit bitchy now...she is also pregnant and due in 2 months..that could be part of it...
so...i'm letting it go for now...but later this year i will insist she do as i say.

But it's not a job interview, it's a wedding! If she already is reluctant as you said to wear a tux, why would you force her? I would never go to a wedding in pants, nor would most women, as you can see by all the responses here.

Wow. Don't be surprised if she doesn't want to be in the wedding at all.
