tuxes: ties or bowties??

Original post by micmar

Just curious what everyone was doing for the groom & groomsmen. We opted for regular ties for the groomsmen & dads, but I'm not sure if that was the best decision. FH says it doesn't look 'like a tux' with a regular tie.

regular long ties for the groomsmen and wing-tip shirts.

This is what we did and my Dad (only Dad) wore his bow-tie. He already had his tux though.

We are doing groom and groomsmen in ties and the fathers in bow ties.

Ties... bowties seem to old fashioned IMO

We had the GM and groom in ties and the dads and grandfathers in bow ties.

I am doing the same thing also.
