I know a lot of the photo places send two people out. The guy I love is just himself. He will have another person for another 1500. Do people think that's worth it?? I think I am fine with one but then panic we will miss shots. What are you all doing?

Re: two photographers or one
I'm ding just one, mainly for cost effective reasons, however I saw the work that he had done and it was amazing, he does have a lihting assistant which he said also helps in to not kiss anything important. I think if pictures are a super important thing to you than you might consider having the 2nd photographer to avoid any extra stress. But if you just want the basics as far as wedding pics go then I would just stick with 1 and put the extra money toward something else. I hope this helps!

Re: two photographers or one
My friend had one and she got great shots! Looking at her pictures there was never a time that I thought she was missing anything.
I do have 2 though but for most of the night I'll have one, both at the cermony, and then one leaves at some point during the reception.

I have two
I think $1500 is a bit pricey but it may also depend on the photographer. I have seen the range for a second shooter to be $500-$900 dollars.

Re: two photographers or one
i think that it depends on how many ppl you are having....if it is a smaller wedding (125 or less) then 1 photog is fine, that is what we are having....if you are having a HUGE wedding, it may be better to get 2
also, if you want 2 distinct styles--like one photojournalistic and one traditional...otherwise, a photojournalistic photog can do some posed shots

We are having 2...actually 3 until the ceremony since the owner said he wants to come and take pics. I always wanted at least 2, that way things are less likely to be missed. One photog cant be everywhere at once.

We're having two but ONLY bc my mom got the photojournalist thrown in for free. Otherwise I would have been fine with one.

I will be having two... usually it matters on the size of the wedding. That does seem like a large amount for the assistant though...

Re: two photographers or one
weve decided on one. Two photogs may get too busy for our small wedding...they even told us with that amount of people one photog is better

Re: two photographers or one
Sorry to crash but i had two and i am so happy i did. It was definitely worth the extra money. That 2nd photographer got all the shots (especially at the ceremony) that i was hoping for such as DH's face when he first saw me coming down the aisle, the expression on my moms face and my mil's face as we were doing our vows, etc.

Re: two photographers or one
The fee that you are getting to add the second photographer is too much. To all the places I have been to, they only charge $600-1000 to add a second photographer for up to 8-10hrs. In some packages it's already included.
To me, photography is very important on my wedding day so i will def. have 2 photographers. One for candid shots and the main photographer for photojournalistic ones. As a matter of fact, i have read reviews and an article on past brides and one thing some of them regret is not have hired that second photographer mainly b/c they were not happy with all the proofs they got or they didnt get the shots they wanted... so at the end is all worth it.... paying that extra $$$ for that 2nd photographer.
