Ugh...balloons?

So my mom keeps insisting on for some reason paying for balloon centerpieces for the eparty. All I can think of are those balloons anchored down with a foil covered box, and I don't think that looks out dated. Am I being wrong? I just feel like she's all for it and I feel bad saying no! But I seriously have no idea what to use for an affordable centerpiece that still looks good. Stressss.

Ugh...balloons?

Could you get away without centerpieces? We didn't have any and nobody missed them. Maybe like a cute/small potted plant?

Ugh...balloons?

We made our own centerpieces. I bought mason jars wholesale, and we spoke to our local florist who got us a really great deal on sunflowers and baby's breath and this other like blueish flower (they were all in season at that point). I cut the flowers and put them together myself, and it cost less than any other centerpiece we looked into. Maybe you could do something like that?

Ugh...balloons?

What about a fishbowl; you can put a single flower in, a fish with pebbles, a candle, etc... simple yet elegant. I also like the idea of doing a potted plant.

Ugh...balloons?

We used the weighted foil things for our balloons at our engagement party simply because they worked and were cheap! I have pix in album if a visual may help you.

Yes! I like the way they look at your party, but our tables are SO BIG that I feel like it's going to still look empty with just balloons. I'm going to check some balloon centerpieces out later, maybe I'll change my mind.
But thanks for all of the ideas ladies!

Ugh...balloons?

We did flower centerpieces. They cost $25 each with no tax since we paid cash. I didn't think the price was too bad. Pictures are in my album if you want to see.

I've been considering doing this and I think I most likely will!
