Ugh Hair - Regular Stylist and Wedding one???

Ok I really need help.
I need to find a regular hairstylist and I'd like whoever it is to be the one to style me for the wedding too.

The thing is that getting my haircut makes me nervous, I think because it's all the small talk and they ask me about my life and stuff and I just am not comfy saying all that to a stranger. idk why. I also get intimated, again, no clue why! And I've never had a hairdresser cut my bangs right, so I go in thinking they'll just screw them up lol So bad

So can anyone recommend a nice and friendly but not too chatty hairdresser in the Huntington area? Or one who won't get offended when I don't talk much? Taking late appts is must because I don't get home from work until 6:30 p.m. And someone who I can get to relatively soon because my hair needs a cut SO BAD lol!!!! But also someone w/experience in doing bridal hair, too!

Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!

Sorry I go to someone in New Hyde Park- but I just wanted to mention a lot of the reviews on here from girls that went with a regular stylist for their wedding day hair said that they should have gone to someone who specialized in wedding hair

eta- many said their hair didnt stay all day

I think it depends, we went to a regular salon and had 3 different girls do hair, and all stayed great....but I will say that we specifically requested girls that can do updo's and the one that did mine is an updo queen!

I don't have any suggestions, but I just wanted to give you some about the haircut situation. I HATE getting my haircut also, for basically the same reason, I hate talking to them (which sounds awful I know!) but I am always so uncomfortable. I think it's partially b/c my hair is really curly and many stylists don't know how to cut it, and I always had stylists incredulously ask me whether I blew it dry regularly...when I said no they would be IN SHOCK! I'm just really low maintenance (or lazy, either way).....so, long story short: now I go to supercuts where the haircuts are cheap and they don't really talk to you. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone!

I go to a girl in Bethpage who also does my hair for any special event, including my wedding. She owns a shop, Top Cuts, and she will come to you the day of. I live in Huntington but used to live in Massapequa. It's just off the seaford oyster bay on hemp tpke, in case you want to try her. She is not too chatty. I have been going to her for 10 years and I usually have to ask HER how SHE is! She will ask me how the wedding planning is going but that's about it. If it's not too far, I would recommend her! Owner's name is Chris, they are very affordable. 516.579.8866.
