So I sent an email out asking who wants to get their hair/makeup done with my hair/makeup people. I said I didn't care what they did, just wanted to get a count. Pretty much everyone wrote back and said that they wanted to get everything done with my girls. Everyone also requested that they be as late as possible. Okay...so w t f am I supposed to do? I can't accomodate everyone's friggen needs. If everyone wants to be last getting their hair and makeup done, who will be left to go first? Ugh, that is so annoying to me. It is not about them, it is about me! Okay...that was my bridezilla moment...LOL. But in all seriousness...should I be the one who goes last????

OH my god. I am going through the SAME thing with my girls! This stuff can be SO frusterating where I just want to yell at everyone!
I am going first with hair to get my hair set and leave it to set for 2 hours, and then i'm going to eat while I'm waiting. Then, back to hair to finsih it off, get hairsprayed, etc. and THEN do my make-up. So make-up will be somewhat in the middle of everyone.

I may be going through the same thing. But no worries just tell them what time they need to be at your house or where you're all getting ready and that's it. You have to lay down the rules otherwise you'll have them walking in on you 5min before showtime .

You should be the one who goes last! I'm so happy you wrote this post, because I am going through the exact same thing with my BP and they make me feel like I'm asking for their first born children when all I want to know is whether or not they want their hair and makeup done so I can schedule MY day.

I think you should be first! You need to have photos taken......what if everything is running late. The same thing happend to my cousin at her wedding. She was last, people were late, than the photos at her house were rushed & she didn't get the photos she wanted. If you are first you can take your time getting dressed & take your time getting photos done.

this is what my hair/makeup girl did....she did my hair first, then started on my MOH and other BM, when we saw it was getting close to the photog time she stopped one of the girls hair...dont remember who and started on my makeup...when she finished me, she continued on them.
don't worry bout who wants to go first or last bla bla bla...tell ur hair/makeup girl how many need to get done and ask her what should be done, she's the one doing the work so she can guide you -- then just tell ur girls that the hair/makeup person said they have to be there at 'x' time if they want her to do their hair and makeup.
BMs give more stress than anyone else you'll ever deal with

I was in the middle of the girls.
Just tell them they have to be there at a specific time.....Dont give them a choice. I had bagels and coffee and champagne for them and none of them cared once we were there.

I recommend you go first. I was the one who went last and we wound up being one hour behind schedule. I was supposed to be pretty much done when my photographers got there and I was just getting started. Just in case I think you should go first.

Totally time for you to be selfish. Pick ANY order you'd like and tell them you had your mom pick the names out of the hat to get the order since apparently EVERYONE wants to go last. Let them know the time they'll need to go as soon as possible this way if it is just 'impossible' for them to make it, they can make their own arrangements... period.
Isn't it annoying how little things like this can stress you out so much!!!

ugh!!!!!!!! that really stinks...if i was u i would just throw everyones name i a hat and pick the order out that way..so nobody can be mad
and im sory but imo i think they r being knda silly..they should go in whatever order and not mae a big deal

if there is one thing I regret from that day its going last
Pics were being shot of me with no makeup that I hate and I was later getting in my dress and couldn't take all the pics I wanted to take with my BMs.
If I could do it over again I would go first, or certainly not last, but have her do my lipstick and touch me up right before I got in my dress. This way I could eat as late as possible but when I was running around doing things I would have my makeup on and I would have felt less rushed.
As for your BMs... someone has to go first. I would just make a schedule and tell them all that everyone requested to go late and it can't happen.

Sorry you are going through this. I totally understand. I am having problems with this too. I would just make a schedule of which girl will go first. I asked my BM's and they don't want to spend the money so besides my MOH all of them are doing their hair and makeup themselves!

you definitely should be the last person getting your hair done!
You have to put your foot down with an issue like this because this is going to affect your own schedule. If the girls insist on getting their makeup/hair done with you then you have to make the schedule and that how's it's got to be. If they think it's too early, then they can have it done somewhere else. You don't want the girls making you run late to your wedding!

Well there's nothing wrong with going last..but you dont want your makeup girls to have to rush on your makeup because your BP's makeup took so long. I'd just say listen girls....you need to be here by such and such a time if you want your makeup done. Otherwise you'll have to get it done elsewhere or do it yourself.

ITA. You should be in the middle. You don't want to be first but if you go last the hair/MU people may be running late so you don't want to be rushed. Why don't you draw names out of a hat to decide what order everyone will go. That way no one can accuse you of favoritism.

it all depends on what you are getting done to your hair. makeup should 100% be last so its fresh. i started my hair first so it could set, then we were watching the time to see when i should get back in the hair chair. i was lucky though that my girls were only getting a simple bun so they didn't take that long. i would tell whoever is doing the hair/makeup how many girls and what time everyone needs to be done, they will give you a schedule most times. and you can just tell your BP to get there together, and they can take turns eating!

I was told by my photographer & my DOC to get makeup done 1st - b/c of all the extras the bride needs to get ready & while she is getting her pics taken other girls can be getting their makeup done. It worked very well & Im so glad I did it this way - otherwise I would have been over 2 hours late to the ceremony!...lol
