uh-oh ...

I'm a fan of Woodbury Country Club on FB and just noticed they made the following post:

Something big will be coming to the Woodbury Country Club this summer.Andrew Zecher the General Manager just closed the deal.. look for it Summer 2010

Should I be worried that my wedding takes place during 'Summer 2010'??? Anyone have any insight as to what this could be?

I'm sure it'll be something good and probably completed by the beginning of the summer! You should be excited not worried!

haha yeah, i guess it does sound like something positive ...

i guess i'm just nervous because someone i know mentioned that there's a 'rumor' going around that WCC is selling a big chunk of their grounds and they'll be building condos there (she told me this before i ever signed the WCC contract) ... i guess i just freaked out cause of her

i heard it was sold to a real estate developer...

i hope not...!!! (or at least, i hope they don't start building until after my wedding!)

that article is from 2008 so it's not necessarily correct ... let's hope!

that was the case but they redid and it and not selling anymore. They were gonna turn the property into condos/coops but thats been reversed. They are keeping it.. I would call if you have ANY doubts and worries. Tell them you read the article

someone on here mentioned a rumor that they're going to be renaming it.

the only thing WCC has said is that it's something 'positive' ... i guess we'll find out soon enough

I would DEFINITELY call to find out ASAP. What if they do rename it and you have your invites printed with WCC instead? That is something all of their brides should definitely be made aware of WELL IN ADVANCE. Just IMHO.
