I just checked watchdog.com and there are like millions of offenders all over the place near my home....

MY GOD!!! the number of offenders against children is so high!!! People are sick!!! i tell ya sick!!

Need to have my sis-in-law check this out coz she walks with my little nephew to his babysitter, which is in the heart of Hempstead, and I can't tell you how many offenders are roaming around there.

yeah.......this is kind of misleading, i think....because a lot of these guys are like 18 year olds who got busted for sleeping with their 16 year old girlfriends. it's not like they're going around raping little children. (NOT that this doesn't happen, but i'm just saying that it's nowhere near as common as watchdog makes it seem.)

hmmm maybe i was thinking of a different site. i just remember when i was looking into moving to like washington heights, there were tons of sex offenders where it said 'misconduct with a minor' but i went to the local police station and talked about it (my mom was freaking out) and they said that the majority of these were domestic cases. i guess i'm wrong!! sorry!! (too bad you quoted it or i would have taken it down!! )

its not a big deal... I just remember being able to see exactly what it was... cause I thought the same thing... people are given labels like that no matter the scope of the crime...

oh wow how can you check if sex offenders live in your town?

We are looking for houses so maybe I should look into it before we sign the contract

that site gave me nightmares!

when i lived with my mom i lived two blocks from the middle school and they send out letters notifying you that there is a new sex offender in your neighborhood who lets them live that close to schools!!! we had a guy who drove by the school without any pants on and asked people waiting to be picked up for directions!

OMG!!!

OMG i just went on the watchdog site & found someone I went to HS w/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INSANE!!!!!
