fh thinks i'm being dramatic and that i should just go w/the flow bc at least now we're going to do something instead of nothing
i'm giong to talk to my other bms see what their thoughts are
of course he doesnt understand ...
he's got 19 guys going to vegas....by the way did i mention that they are 100% paying his costs???
he clearly has better friends than me...pffft
That's just guys not wanting to cause or deal with Drama.
One of FH's friends suggested doing his bach party when there was some big event going on on AC. FH said ok in front of them. To me he said, 'baby, I don't wanna be a girl or anything... but I'm not going if there really going for another reason.'

Wow. Thats pretty wrong of her. Its your party, not hers. If she wants to celebrate her 30th then she can do it with her college friends. How close are you guys?

Re: ummmmm..email from moh...VENT*update
I was MOH last year and had to throw the bridal shower and pay for the majority of it myself. I really ended resenting the bride for a LONG while. and she is my best friend. At the time I was totally broke I felt it was not okay for her to expect me to pay for it.
If you want your girls (who prob are in a similar financial situation that I was last year) not to be pissed and to participate, then find dresses for cheaper. Perfectbridal.com has all designer dresses at WAY DISCOUNT prices. They are authorized retailers too.
That being said, if you can do that tell your MOH to man up and stop stressing you out. She is not supposed to make your day stressful. Her Bday is her business, not to be combined with your BIG day.!

wow.. i would def not ignore the email. if she is the kind that would think to do this then you dont want time to go by and have her actually plan this...
you need to talk to her. and bc she knows you so well, the more reason to tell her that it would be reeealllllly silly to have UR b-party with girls you dont know. weird.
sorry girl... i agree that she could be researching and investing time to find cheap or even free things to do for YOU...

Whoa
Definitely DO NOT IGNORE the e-mail bc what if she goes ahead with the plans?????? Then YOU are in the middle of a whole other mess!!!
You need to STOP BEING NICE!!!! This is YOUR wedding. Like I told my dad when he asked me to put my feelings aside for 8 hours on my wedding day, NO!!! I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PUT ANY FEELINGS ASIDE ON MY WEDDING DAY!!! THIS IS MY WEDDING and I DESERVE for it to go the way that I want and HOW DARE YOU for being so selfish!!!
Break out the spanish. Get p!ssed... That's ridiculous!!!!
(you can be nice about the money thing, but NOT this..... enough is enough!!!)

OMG girl! I'm so p*ssed for you!
You definitely have to say something to her, otherwise she'll think you're okay with it and will go through with it under the fake assumption that your lack of response was a sign of consent.
If she's the person who knows you best, then she should have known better than to think you would be okay with this arrangement. She's making herself out to be very selfish because it's funny how all of a sudden she's okay with the girls spending money as long as her 30th is being celebrated with your bachlorette party.
Like someone mentioned before, do you think she might be resentful of the fact that you're getting married? It just seems strange that a MOH would cause this much stress for the bride.

OMG she did not just try to combine your b-party with her 30th birthday?!!!
Tell her you will take her out to celebrate her bday a different weekend!
ummm yeah... this is for you!

I would NOT ignore it. I would say something. I would just say. Look I know not everyone has the $$ to do something huge but I do want it to be my BACH PARTY and not anything else. So I would suggest a compromise where you do something more low-key but it be solely yours

I hear you about this ... I was in the same spot sort of and I had to put my foot down. My MOH is my twin sister .. She wanted to bring her newborn baby to my bridal shower so everyone can see the baby. I didnt want to sound selfish but this is my day, with my friends and family and future family .. Not the time for my sister to be bringing her baby when shes my MOH and has responsbilities at the shower that shes hosting!
So, I know how you feel. I would say look we both deserve our big days to be celebrated exclusively. I want to be a big part of your 30th so lets do that celebration another time. If you try to make it sound as though you are doing it for the both of you it may be easier to make your point.
Ugh - people are so selfish - sorry youre dealing with that!!

its really not fair to combine your bach party with her 30th bday party!!!! its totally understandable that she cant afford to spend alot on your bach party but there are soooooo many ways to still have a great party without spending $$$!!!!!
