UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! I want to SHOOT FH!!!!!!!!!!!

he sends me a text this morning that his co-worker is now bringing a guest. Really? this is news to me because he only rsvp'd for 1. he says he just asked someone and now that wants to bring a date. i was like no. we already made our final payment and we already gave in our seating chart. He didn't even ASK if he could bring someone, he just told him that he was. i was like ***! and this is someone that FH didn't even want to invite in the first place and now he just wants to let him bring a guest. *** again! now he is super pissed off at me and we are not speaking. Meanwhile, tonight is the RD. nice. real nice.

i mean really, who is he to just decide oh, i'm bringing a date now and decide this is ok 3 days before the wedding?

That is RIDICULOUS! I remember my brother tried that ish with my SIL the day of their wedding and she was not happy!

And it's a co-worker?? Sheesh. Damn FH's!

Hope it all works out--and she doesn't come!!

Sorry girl.... Hopefully you two will resolve it soon.. But really FH should have told him, um, that's not possible, our seating chart is set and final payment is in.

That is ridiculous especially 3 days before the wedding. I would just say no and if anything was said after that I would tell him that he doesnt have to come either

I know your stressed and I would be mad too, but try not to take it out on FH, he probably feels awkward telling the guy no since he works with him. Don't let it put you in a bad mood for your RD tonight!

WOW some people are so inconsiderate.

I would just say fine (so you can enjoy the last couple of days before your wedding - stressfree), and not worry about it. When they get to the reception - your RH can just add a chair to that table and you wont have to worry about it. I had 4 people that were no shows at our wedding and one of DH's friends brought a guest and never told us he was going to so we did not have to pay for anything. I am sure your RH will just bring in the chair and not think twice about it.

Sorry to hear that!!! I think FH should have explained to this person that everything is already alloted for etc. But he didn't... you can't change what has happened and the fact that you are going to have one extra guest. Try not to let this completely ruin your day/night. It's not worth fighting about.. especially since you are so close to your day

i wouldn't add them to the count because i have always heard that there are 3-4 people that no show or call and cancel the day of.... so if you decide to let the date come i wouldn't add them and just hope they slide right into a cancellation spot (even though seating wise it would be a hassle--- however, IMO if he rsvps 3 days prior he shouldn't expect to sit with his date since tables are already set!!!)

I was in my friends wedding and this happened. Except the guest never told her, she just brought a date after rsvping 1! I get to my table after the entrance and there is no seat for me! The watermill quickly added a chair and place setting for me. But it was so annoying! The bride didn't even know till after her honeymoon though. The hall fixed it seamlessly.
