Unbelieveable groom ditches bride at the altar story...
...and so sad.
A couple was set to marry Saturday at DH's parish around the corner from us. The organist (who did our wedding music) told us yesterday that the bride showed up all dressed with her bridesmaids and father in the limo, ready to get hitched. The grooms whole family was there, and the father of the groom walked out of the church to tell her that he went home, and she might as well too because he wasn't coming back.
His family was Mormon, she is Roman Catholic, and they talked him out of marrying her. After he told her, the grooms whole family exited out a side door and left.
They had to go on with the reception because it was paid for, and everyone that wasn't at the church was going to show up. The brides mother said it was 'good riddance to bad rubbish' party. The bride was devastated.

I can't believe him!!!! His family is horrible for talking him out of it. I hope he regrets what he did and she goes on to a happy life without him!!!!

That is one of the sadest things I have ever heard That poor girl. I agree with allure get a lawyer and sue!!!!!

Misty: Our best man went to that wedding!! I think his sister was even in the bridal party. I heard the whole story and was just sick. What a complete a$$!
He told me that everyone clapped as the bride left the church in tears so I thought that was sweet. And the bride did show to the recpetion which i think is incredibly brave of her - good for her!

That's terrible! That is every bride's worst nightmare. I'm glad she went through with the reception despite him.

OMG! That is so awful! As irenie19 said: it really is every bride's worst nightmare!!! Gosh, couldn't the groom and his family have make this decision a little sooner than at the church?!
