Re: undecided after some bad new
i went to wedding there (back in 2000) but it was wonderful.
it was for my Fh's aunt getting remarried and trust me when I say they wouldnt have booked there if it wasnt perfect! They are very opinionted and must 'project a certain apprearance' for their friends and there wasnt a napkin out of place when i was there. Bathrooms were immaculate all night ...even the ciggarette butts in the ashtray outside looked arranged !!! LOL
I wouldnt worry based on one bad review

see i know that the opinions and comments that i got are coming from tow of my best friends and they would not want to confuse me anymore then i already am...hehehe...but i do think that i am going to call my banquet manager and speak with him with the few concerns that i have.
I am looking there and I went last weekend. The food was amazing. That was my fav. part. The mooz. was delish, the tomatos were ok but you know that there is a tomato shortage ( ), the pasta perfect, the chicken sorrentino was to die for.
I don't think that the food could have been that bad. I thought the service was good and I saw it set up and the plates were clean.
I had no complaints other than not having the day we want and not coming down in price enough.
But call your BM (who is it?) and ask for a tasting and tell him you heard these probs!

when i went to look at JT, they gave me a tour of the kitchen and all of the food was really fresh. i think that is one of the things they pride themselves on. if you havent already done so, maybe you could tour the kitchen and that would put your mind at ease. i have only heard good things about the food at JT.

call your banquet manager, and tell him you'd like to voice some concerns regarding the alcohol, and the service. I've always heard that the food was great--ask to have a tasting. Also, look at your contract is the liquor classified as 'top shelf' is so--ask him what thier standards are-what kind of wine, what kind of vodka....ask him who the Maitree 'D (sp?) of your affair will be, and when can you meet him? and that you have heard of some recently unhappy guests, and what can they do to reassure you? try to remember two things: 1. you picked the Jericho Terrace because you liked it, it was the right date, right time, and right price. 2. they are working for you. don't be afraid to push back, and get a little bossy-you've signed a contract, read it carefully, and make them live up to it... don't get intimidated, and don't be undecided-there is soo much to do, stand firm in the choices that you make, I'm sure you are going to have an awesome wedding!!!!!!!!

I totally sympathize with you. When I picked my hall, everyone I knew wanted to know why I picked 'that place', & said I was paying way too much for a Friday night 'there' - even though no one had ever gone to a wedding there!
I drove myself (and my FH) crazy reading every review I could find, visiting other halls & nearly canceling my venue many times. Having said that.... you and your FH picked your hall for a reason. Something about it was 'you', and I don't think you should listen to anyone else's opinions! Trust that you made the right decision, just make sure to voice all of your concerns to Jericho Terrace upfront!
I was a part of JozieB0925 's wedding at Jericho Terrace. The food was AMAZING (and I am picky) and the service was GREAT. The drinks were awesome too. I know she went to her banquet manager fueled with a lot of negative remarks she had read on this site, and I think that helped the staff at JT stay on top of things for her wedding. FM her if you want more info. I know she posted a review, also.
Good luck to you!!!

Re: undecided after some bad new
I went there for a wedding last Nov.20th, second floor room to be exact. Where there are cloud designs on the ceiling and hanging leaves on the middle top part of the hall. It was nice and beautiful, even the bathroom was clean. So, I'm surprised to hear this stories.
