Uneven bridal party-what to do for bridal party dance?

Uneven bridal party-what to do for bridal party dance?

We have 5 girls and 7 guys. Only 1 guy has a GF that will be at the wedding. Should we just have 5 girls dance with 5 guys and have the other two switch in partway through the dance? Is that dumb? We can't find another girl for the GM, so I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

Im sure the left over Groomsmen can dance with a female friend of family member... I think it will be fine... Im going to have an uneven bridal party as well.. I don't want to just put anyone in to make it equal up so I Think the left over person and just grab someone to dance lol

You may not like my answer, but if being uneven truly bothers you, why not skip the dance altogether? Unless you really want it. I am really no help am I?

I'm at a loss for the other female friend. We don't have one.

We had 5 BM and 7 GM. No dance. Even when we had an even BP we wanted no dance for them. The BP dance is the most uncomfortable thing we've ever seen, that's why we didn't want it. It looks like when your 10 year old cousin gets stuck dancing with your aunt. JMO.

I am with you. I will just have him and I dance,,and then people can join in with their significant others who arent in my BP. I wouldnt expect them to dance with some girl when their gf is right there.Unless they dont have a bf- then I can pair them up with single BM HAHAHAHAHAHA

I also have an uneven BP and everyone is already married. So, if we even have the dance at all, they are going to just dance with their husbands or wives. If you have the dance, can't they all just dance with their guests?

I would just have them stand around you in a circle, we did that at my friend's wedding and it was great since I barely knew my partner.

We also have an uneven BP (4 girls and 3 guys - not including Jr BM and FG) and we're going to let everyone dance with their partners/dates instead of pairing them up with someone else from the BP.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I have an uneven bridal party too, and after our first dance, I'm going to invite everyone up at the same time. So everyone will find there partner. whether it's one of their bridal party partners or a boyfriend/girlfriend.

We didn't do the bridal party dance---we took the whole song to overselves! Could do that or have everyone join in.

I had the same question, because their will be one less groomsmen than BM. But i like the idea that they can dance with whomever when we invite couples to the dance floor.

How to they walk out of the church though if it is uneven?

We have the same problem but too many girls. I think it will be fine. Most people in your party will have a date so invite them onto the floor. If not maybe break from tradition a bit, it will all work out fine!

We're having two songs... the first one is only 2 minutes, and we're doing that ourselves. The second one is about 4 minutes, and we've inviting ALL the guests at the wedding to dance to that, so it will never be JUST the bridal party. Maybe you can just skip the bridal party guest and just have all your guests dance so it's not as obvious that one of your BP members is left out... and they can just either sit it out or grab anyone on the dance floor to dance with?

We have an uneven #2. We are dancing all by ourselves. Then we are going to have a second slow song where EVERYONE joins in, not just BP- and everyone dances with whomever they want.
Honestly, I don't like making people dance with someone they don't know.

the MOH could have 2 guys, one on each side?

I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT!! That is such a good idea!! MY MOH is my sister, and his best man and one of his groomsmen are his brothers... so they can walk down!! Thanks for the idea!!!!

We're having an uneven party- the dance is fine, just have people dance with their dates.

but the walking up and down the aisle- we'll have to have two guys with one girl. not sure who's going to get that yet, that's a tough one...
