Unique / non-traditional gowns?

Hey ladies - I'm an OLD timer (married in Oct 05) but am looking for ideas for a friend who just got engaged
She's not into your 'typical' traditional weddings/gowns so I'd love if you could post your 'unique' gown - esp any one with a little color in it. Please share the designer too!

Here is what I think I'm getting. But if I do ... I'm having the designer put an extra piece of fabric where the sheer part is. I cant do sheer but I LOVE this dress!!!

Heres my gown its alfred angelo and you can pick from 50 different colors he also has other dresses with color.

Lela Rose makes some really gorgeous intricate dresses that are undeniably unique without necessarily being 'funky'. they are just beautiful.

The second one is by Manuel Mota from Pronovias group. It is a 2008 collection. I actually tried this dress on and it is beyond gorgeous. It is not for everyone though. I believe you need to be tall to pull this off, well, at least 5'6-5'7 I would say. However, it is drop dead gorgeous and very very different and unique. :)

I wish I could have this dress but I can't have 2.
