United Skates

Anyone else go there a lot when they were a kid? My friend and I used to go to United Skates every weekend growing up.

of course!! and then you have to pull the skateasaures' tail!! and skate rreally fast and then smash into the padded poles lol

I loved United Skates...we also went to Hot Skates a lot!! I was always nervous I wouldn't have someone to skate with during the last song, which was the slow couples song!!

LOL. I had my 9th birthday there. And if you remember all the birthday kids were supposed to go out with the skateasaures but I was too shy so I sent my friend out for me instead.

i have never heard of united skates until recently....i used to go to LACES....but they closed a long time ago...

What about the random middle area of the rink that you could sit in with the mini skate floor...

Hot skates was the place.

and Laces over on hillside before they turned it into a ice skating rink

i have never heard of united skates until recently....i used to go to LACES....but they closed a long time ago...

i used to go to Laces when i was a kid wow...havent heard laces in a while

Cardboard like pizza, cherry slushies, all served by the woman with 3 teeth! I miss that place.. it also had a ton of Video games.. and pay phones to call mom when you needed to get picked up,, no cell phones then!!
Also you had to go UP the incline to go into the girls bathroom

oh my god i used to love going there when i was a kid! i had my birthday there.....the cool people would hang in the middle! i remember doing the chicken dance with the dinosaur! lol.....good times....

the great memories, between there and the South Shore Mall-before it became all fancy with Lord & Taylor
