unstamped rsvp's - what do you think?

i'm starting to get a bit tight on cash and am wondering what you guys think about not putting a return stamp on the rsvp's. most of our friends will probably rsvp via email and won't bother with the rsvp either... but i feel stingy not putting a stamp on the rsvp. what do you guys think?

do notttt choose that place to save on... i got one in the mail like that and thought it was soooo tacky... i mean cmon, how much is it really saving as oppossed to how its going to look in the eyes of your guests

I wouldn't leave off the stamp...it doesn't look right and it will make you look bad... IMO. Maybe there is another area that you could save the $$ you would spend on the stamps?

hello ladies~ i think i'll put the stamp back on

another question though... if you had out of country guests, what do you do with their rsvp's?

Edit: does anyone know when the rates are going up also?

Stamps go up on the 12th.

I say you stamp them...I peronally would think it's tacky if I got an invitation with an un-stamoed RSVP.

I sent an invite to Africa and I just left the $.42 stamp on it. I know she'l rsvp via email but I liked the personalized stamps I had so I put it on anyway.

Sorry, but I think it's a little tacky not to stamp the rsvp envelope. JMO.

ack! i just realized... by the time the guests mail their rsvp's, the postage would most likely have gone up. does that therefore mean that i should buy the higher postage?

You should definitely buy the higher postage. It will only delay your RSVPs. As for your out of country guests, I would just leave off the stamp for those few. For those you really are just throwing your money away.

yes definitely. Otherwise they will all be returned to your guest that sent it and they will not go through the trouble of finding a new envelope and buying a stamp- they just won't rsvp

i personally, would not send the RSVP's without the stamps. It just looks more classy w/ the stamps and besides, its hard enough to get people to drop those RSVP cards in the mail, even with the stamp on!

well by the time you buy stamps the postage will be up already so you will have no choice but to buy the new rate stamps.

sounds like a way to stick yourself with a million phone calls to chase down rsvps. i totally sympathize with your financial situation, but it sounds like more trouble than it's worth.
