Rita, You have GOT to use PHIL and After Hours!!!!!! We are going with the Basic Package just to enhance the room. David Tutera did an awesome job warming up the room at ICP for my sisters wedding. Also, my FH is an electrician so it wasn't a tough sell on my part. As for the difference...I put it in these terms...was I going for a HS dance or club feel or an elegant, passionate event. That's how I made our decision. Hope that helped!! Kimberly

Re: Up Lighting
we have uplighting...our DJ charges per light since every room needs a different number..i think it was $50 per light but he didnt charge us that, he hooked us up since we are getting married in winter...it would abeen like $1000 extra or more, something like that

Re: Up Lighting
I've met with a few different companies and I was told that you should only use the LED lights...and they usually run $50 per light...

Re: Up Lighting
yeah you should def use the LED ones, so package 2 is the one that u mentioned LED...
our DJ has LED and its $50 a light...so if that deluxe package has 30 lights, thats $1500 according to my guy, so $1300 is good...
i would make sure that ur room would be good with that many though, like i asked our guy i said, 'we're in the Astor suite at the Watermill, how many should we have in that room?' and he recommended 18.
so as long as 30 are appropriate for ur room, then i think 1300 is a good price!

Re: Up Lighting
im weird with lighting...we only wanted uplighting because it gives the room a whole effect.. like sets the mood. we didnt book any other lighting because we didnt want it to feel like a club

Re: Up Lighting
Any kind of par light is going to be a good one, Shawn might have to correct me, its been a few years since we worked at the lighting compnay, but i belive the par 10 is a small light about the size of a coffe can that can illuminate a whole wall pretty much, par 24 covers more area. BUT from experience, i woudl chose LED over the par lights!!! If they have led go for that over the par!!!
edited bc my brain is not here today and i am messing up my words
