Update again! Do any of you play soccer or want to?

Im joining and were going to play every Monday in Patchogue. Anyone interested??. Its good exercise before the wedding!

Email I got from her when I told her others were interested:

We can definately use another goalie. Have these women played before? What are their skill levels? What positions do they play? I think I have room for 3, I know I can definately carry two more. Right now I have two spots open, in the spring I know of one more. I think that is perfect. :) Just doing the math... Lol
Can you play this Monday night? I think it is at 9:00pm.

If it was basketball, I would definately play- but I'm no good at soccer. :(

My FH plays flag football on sundays and I always tell him I wish there was a sport for me to play and get excerise. Great idea...but its too far for me.

I havent played in 4 years. The team Im signing up with came in 2nd last year and she said theyre pretty competitive, but not out for blood They dont practice. Games every Monday and theres 2 one day tournaments this summer.

I used to play goal, but I would like to be out playing the field and exercising. I used to be pretty good, but I have had so many injuries from soccer and then rugby in college.

ME TOO! Luckily I never had a broken bone or anything, but I had chondromalacia in my knees and it hurt soo bad I sometimes fought to get up the stairs in school without crying. I hope I can handle it.

If you dont want to play goal I wouldnt even say that you do because you know if they know youre a goalie chances are youre always thrown in goal. They even threw me in goal and I play the field

I would definitely play! I would even play goalie (I'm actually pretty good), but I'm always stuck at work

I definitely would (I miss playing sports so much!) but I'm stuck in Canada for work for the conceivable future -- okay, 2 months with weekends back in NY, but still, it's a long f'ing time!

You can join through the LILSL or LIWSL, but if you want to try to get on my team, let me get back to you and Ill let you know how many more spots on the roster we have.
