UPDATE!!! From my Vent about best man and strippers

I'm sitting here in my office and the receptionist comes in with a bo-k of beautiful flowers, I'm thinking my FH sent them....I read the card and its from the Best Man!!

He said that he is sorry that he overstepped his bounds but he would never do anything to hurt me or FH and yes he has in fact cancelled the strippers.

Although I'm still upset, I accept his apology

Marcella Bella, I think you should keep adjectives like pathetic to yourself. Most strippers that do private parties make extra money on the side during and after the party. It's a fact. I can even give you a couple of websites if you like.

All of us trust our FH's but that doesn't mean that we're comfortable with them exploiting women to celebrate getting married. It also doesn't mean that we're comfortable with the idea of our family members (my brother and dad are invited) seeing women **** each other or give ********s to the guys that want them (and my FH would NOT be one of those, and he doesn't want that either).

It's not only a matter of trust, but a matter of respect for each others feelings. If there is something I'm really uncomfortable with (strippers in private is one of them), then FH respects that and visa versa, if there is something FH is really uncomfortable with, I will usually not do it. We don't ask much of each other, but once in a while something does come up that we compromise on.

i know i can get jealous sometimes. it's something i need to work on. i trust my FH completely- i know he would never do anything to hurt me.

i am glad that he's not into strippers. that would sicken me.

don't you girls feel weird that some random naked girl is on your FH's lap strutting herself all over him? the thought sickens me. why would you want some girl doing that to him- even if she's getting paid to do so. why does it make a difference that she's a stripper vs. just a 'regular' girl on his lap naked (or half naked). to me, i do not make a distinction between a stripper doing that or just a random girl.

also, with the 'just looking' thing- would you want him to go into some girl's apartment and watch her take her clothes off?

i know i'm not in the norm- i just find it amazing that girls don't get disgusted by this.

What you wrote proved my point.. it takes 2 to tango, so if there is anything going on afterwards, it's not only the strippers doing..

those women are exploiting themselves.. and to correct you on another thing, the whole ideaology behind a bachelor/ette, party, not that I agree with it or would ever abide by it, is to have a that last fling before you get married... not celebrate marriage..

I agree with you 100%. I just don't think that having a stripper(s) constitutes that.

this wasn't about just strippers... it was about strippers going to a hotel room for a private show... strip club ok, hotel room strippers not ok.

I don't think there is anything wrong with going to a strip club, I would however have a problem with my Fiance having strippers in a hotel room. Male strippers don't even do half the things that female strippers do. Some of those females get really raunchy and nasty. If I were stacey I would be mad too. Things can get out of hand if you have private strippers in a hotel room, at least at a club there are restrictions as to what you can do with them. Look I went to a Male strip club and the guys only stripped down to G-strings and they come up to you and danced with you. It's alot more than that with female dancers becuase they take more off. It's not an issue of trust, my fiance told me to have a great time, I told him about it and even showed him digital pictures that we took of me dancing with the male dancers and he was laughing. I would not mind if he went to a strip club.....he can go to 20 of them on his bachelor party for all I care. There is nothing wrong with looking. But having them in private in a hotel room I don't think so. I have heard some horror stories and I just think that is such a cheesy thing to do. First of all my fiance would never go for that.

Stacey...the best man had some nerve to plan to have private strippers for john and yet had the nerve to tell you not to bring his girlfriend to a strip club!!! That's what I call a hypocrite. But at least he had the decency to come to his senses and apologized.

If you go to a strip club you can get those same raunchy stories if you pay the extra $$$ for them. That's what the 'back room' is all about.

thanks for the sarcasm. I don't think it's necessary personally. I don't think of myself as 'pathetic' I just think you should be more respectful to other people. This is my last post about this, b/c I don't have time for this crap. Anyway, I'm sorry you don't think that 'constitutes' something to compromise on, FH and I do, and obviously stayandjohn and her man do to. You have your opinion, I actually respect it, you should do the same for others. Also-as for a 'last fling', tell your man to have one b/c I think FH and I will pass on that one.
