I'm sitting here in my office and the receptionist comes in with a bo-k of beautiful flowers, I'm thinking my FH sent them....I read the card and its from the Best Man!!

He said that he is sorry that he overstepped his bounds but he would never do anything to hurt me or FH and yes he has in fact cancelled the strippers.

Although I'm still upset, I accept his apology

I agree with you jyoti. Every stripper does what they do for there own reasons. Everyone has their own opinions about. Personally, I dont think women should exploit themselves like that. And men watching them degrades women bec it lowers them to being an object not a person.

Private or in a dance strip place is all the same. Every bach party FH has been too has always been in a private room with strippers.

Okay here comes Miss Quiet out of her shell...
This post couldn't have come at a funnier time. FH told me a few days ago that he was going to Buffalo for a Bachelor (w/ strippers) and that they would be staying in a hotel overnight. Now, I know the guys he's going with and I wouldn't put it past them to have a stripper come to the room. At first I was po'd (just really due to the fact that I am an extrmely self concious person regards to my looks, body, etc... and I don't want him comparing me, etc..)
BUT, I got over it-if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. I trust my FH enough so I just don't care to know any details when he gets back. Hey, men watch porn, don't they? So, I know my FH won't touch, but as far as looking it's the same as watching playboy, etc...And I don't beleieve that the strippers will force themselves onto him because I know he wouldn't let them-HE has enough self respect for me.

I just told him 'have fun' and I planned a trip to the Jersey Shore with my girlfriend that same weekend so I wouldn't think about it.

Can someone explain to me why some people feel the need to be so nasty? Stop with the put downs and name calling, express your opinion like an adult and get on with it.

People sometimes get nasty or undermine others feelings in order to hide their own true feelings and insecurities, ones they don't have the nerve to admit out loud. So, don't even let them bother you. Stick by beliefs and convictions and just pity those who need to call names, put people down and undermine other people's feelings. They will need it in the long run. Trust me...

Depends on the guy. My FH is going to a yankees game with old friends and family, going to a steakhouse for dinner and going to our/their fav. bar. No flings, and not a lot of drinking since he has a rehearsal brunch in the morning!

my fh went to his last weekend and yes they had strippers and yes all the stories are true, my fh told me everything, those girls are really raunchy, he pretty much denied hals of their requests, i know where you are coming from. i'm glad it worked out for you

WOW, what a thread that I just came across !

Stacey-that was VERY NICE of the BM to send apologies. That was very classy and respectful. I hope he stays 'respectful' for the Bach party nite!

As far as Strip Clubs, I dont think its a big deal to go to them. Ive gone to several bach parties and we had a blast. and John has gone a few times, but he is not 'into it' as much anymore. He doesnt see being married (now with a child ) and going to a strip club as part of the same lifestyle. I told him 'big deal' its just for fun, but he really doesnt have any desire to go. Sure he had his frat party days, and his summers in Daytona, but he just feels that he has outgrown that phase. OF COURSE no man will outgrow loving to look at naked women, but for him, its a matter of respect towards me and 'our family'.

I have to agree that having a stripper in a hotel room is out of hand. Johns BM planned his bach party, and he was a HUGE stripclub client, LOL, and the one thing John asked for was NO STRIP clubs and especially no strippers in the hotel room.
Regardless of who's fiance loves them more (seems like its a competition here, LOL), when theres a naked girl on your lap, 'pushing' you to the ground and taking your clothes off, with your buddies RAH RAH RAHing all around you, things can get out of hand. Period.
