UPDATE!!! From my Vent about best man and strippers

I'm sitting here in my office and the receptionist comes in with a bo-k of beautiful flowers, I'm thinking my FH sent them....I read the card and its from the Best Man!!

He said that he is sorry that he overstepped his bounds but he would never do anything to hurt me or FH and yes he has in fact cancelled the strippers.

Although I'm still upset, I accept his apology

hey, Sunny, I don't like them either..

It's kind of fun watching some dirty slob dancing shaking her a55 for a dollar, but that's just it.. lol

and like Latina said, same stuff can happen in a club.. champagne room anyone..

I am very secure in my relationship. I respect and trust my FH with all my being and I know he does the same for me, if he asks me not to do something I dont, and vice versa, thats just the way we are.

FYI in a 'Private room' in a strip club there is usually a closed-ciruit TV or a bouncer watching so 'unnecessary' things don't happen. In a private hotel room, with skanky stippers who can't get a job at a 'nice' joint, ANYTHING goes. Its completely different. I trust my DH COMPLETELY but he opted NOT to have a bacehlor party once the idea of a hotel room came up... I trust him but NOT his friends. Plus I heard from him too many stories of other ones he attended.

Whatever anyone's view or opinion on this issue is does not changes how the other person feels or see this stripper issue. Whether she is comfortable or not, no matter what opinion is stated it is not going to change how the person feels.

What is acceptable for one woman is not for another woman, we all have to do what works for us. All our relationships are unique and what works for Jane may not work for Mary, so we cannot just throw words out there about getting grips or trusting one's FI or hubby. It has to do with what one is comfortable with. Until a person is comfortable, no matter how we or anyone else see it, that person is going to feel the way they feel.

It seems like it is the groom's friends that we are all worried about and I think that is because the our groom's friends are so desperate for a night out and see our FH's bachelor parties as a perfect excuse to see naked girls and our FH's as the perfect scapegoats when things go awry. Notice how most grooms don't really want the strippers, but their buddies do and then the groom gets in trouble with FW's (us) when the BM tells the stripper to treat the groom nicely, it's his last night of freedom, blah, blah.

jcndd- I see what you mean about what bachelor parties have become. Personally, I am excited for fh to have his. All of our friends are getting married, having babies- it is not too often that he gets all his guys together and has boy time. This is important to him, and it is a good excuse to get everyone together. I know it will make him happy.

I do not like male strippers in general, but have been to strip clubs and had a blast. For me it is more about haveing a good time with my friends and laughing, because that is what we do.

I think that is what it is about for the boys, too. Going to a strip club is male bonding at it's finest.

Marcella- I did not mean any offense- I just don't like the idea of strippers in his hotel room. I would never tell him what to do, and it is not up to him anyway.

Sunny, I totally agree! didn't mean to come off like a biatch..I guess that happens when you're typing lol

I hate them too.. it grosses me out to see what some of these women do for a living but to me it's fun as well.. I don't personally like these places but I'll still go and make the best of it, you know?

I like watching them until they take their pants off- when they are standing there in their thongs I get a little grossed out.

Strippers who simply strip and entertain is one thing; HOWEVER, strippers who make 'personal/private' calls to hotel rooms, homes, etc. are an entirely different breed! They are there in the hopes of getting more money for GIVING more than a 'look'. These are the pigs and opportunists that prey on the weakness of men like Stacey's FI's BM; guys like that are easy targets for trashy women looking to make extra money at these bachelor parties. Let's be frank about this; those are the facts. But, hey, some girls don't mind if their guys screw around at their long-awaited 'bachelor' parties, as long as they don't hear about it or see it - as long as they are having them walk down the aisle with them after it's over. To each their own, I suppose.

I don't think ANY girl here 'wouldn't mind' if their FH's screwed around with a stripper EVER!!!
Including me....I am not desperate enough to look the other way on something like infidelity....I don't think any of us are. I would never tolerate that!

I think to assume that anyone 'wouldn't mind' is outrageous.

I know for myself that FH would never do anything, that's exactly why I don't care if he sees strippers...

Look, not everyone agrees on this topic and they don't have to....that's all that can be said.
