For the married girls: How long did it take you to get your ML back?
UPDATE: well all the worry over nothing - it came yesterday LOL.

well we were married in the Bronx. I hope that doesn't mean I have to wait longer! I have so many things I need to do but I need the marriage license to do it. Like to get DH on my health insurance I need to complete it within the next 25 days!

Depends on when your officiant mails it out to the town where it came from, and then how quickly that particular town office processes it! So it varies.

I have no idea but now I am in panic mode. I guess because I am electing to change it in the middle of the year that I only have a certain window of opportunity to do so. Otherwise I will have to wait until the end of the year when I re-do my benefits. So annoying.

That's pretty standard- it was the same for my job. We got it in plenty of time! No worries!

It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow, and mine was post marked on the 3rd.
we went through the town of huntington if that makes a difference

I work in HR and since you had a life qualifying event (marriage) they allow you a window of time to add your spouse if you are not in an open enrollment period. See if your company will get the ball rolling without the license to get your DH on your insurance. That's what my company does. We get the ball rolling after the person got married, had a child, etc, and then we just tell the employee to submit the license (or birth certificate and SS card if had a child) immediately when they receive it. It's worth a shot.

We got married in Queens. I got mine back within a couple of days!
